“You will pay for your crimes”
That voice is clearly that of a girl…I surmised.
She snarled at me, all the while swinging and twirling her sword back and forth at my dancing and dodging movements. Actively on my feet, I am able to effectively evade her attempts to mutilate me. I see Sora looking on in terror, even more, anxious than I, whose in battle.
Just stay there Sora, I’ll deal with this nutjob.
“Are you deaf?” I retorted. My repetition of our innocence gained no grounds with her. Clearly persistent and devoted to a cause, it became evident that reasoning with her was not going to work.
After going at it for a while, she soon discovers that her method is irrefutably futile, I was much too fast. She stops and then threw a kick from her right while simultaneously preparing her left leg for takeoff. It connected with my right hand, providing a substantial blow. Practically falling back, I allowed myself to drop, only to flip back up and brace myself for her next attack.
“As I said, we didn’t harm anyone! We’re just trying to get somewhere.”
“Liar…” She barked angrily in response. “Your sky vehicle fell down upon our homes almost killing many innocent people. They were lucky to have not been at home at the time of its crash.”
“The Jet…” Sora gasped.
We shuddered in sync, now fully realizing what we’ve done. We were mortified. We hadn’t been on the ground for an hour yet and already we’ve created enemies and potentially ruined lives.
“We’re sorry! We didn’t mean to” He called out.
She lunged her fist at me, and then swum her sword and narrowly missing my face.
Playing defense will get me nowhere.
She attacked with a big right overhead kick. I stepped out of range, I brought my hands forward to grab and toss her aside, this time exploiting my speed and throwing her with great force. She slammed into a nearby tree.
“Stay down! You cannot beat me” I ordered.
“Maybe…” She loudly whispered. And then, out of nowhere, she threw her sword straight at me.
Holy shit!
I dodged.
That almost hit me-
I fell on my back. I had just used my speed to toss her so that was purely reflex. I am lucky! How quickly did she disarm and throw? I’m not even sure, but that must have been pretty fast. As I lift my head from the ground I found that it was only a diversion.
Held strong and ready to kill, her firm grip on the blade around Sora’s throat made it evident. This was no combat practice and she was not playing. If I do not act quickly, Sora will die at her hands. I slowed my movement and beckoned with both hands placed above my head in a surrender position. Even for me, this horrid feeling was all too overwhelming.
“Please… Just wait”
Filled with hatred, shame, and pain
There's nothing left for me to gain,
Letting go's no easy task,
Behind this pride, my heart is masked.
