Chill coughed in surprise and smirked. “You mean those wonderful creatures with long noses and ears and skeevy bodies? The ones used, basically, as cannon fodder in most fantasy games?”

“Hmm. I didn't notice long ears, but the rest sounds about right. They were even wearing weird robin hood type clothing- well except the guy who seemed to be the leader had on a gross ball cap.” That ball cap certainly didn't go with the rest of his odd style.

“That was his crown. You're right, he was the leader.” Hades nodded.

“Guys, do I need to take you to the nuthouse? Goblins are not real. They're in books and games and even cartoons and movies, but they. Are. Not. Real.” Chill stomped his foot on the last word to emphasize that we were being a spark plug shy of a purring engine.

“That's because this – is a dream.” I nodded sagely.

“Um. Sis? No it's not.” Chill began to frown and a furrow between his eyebrows made me think he was starting to get worried.

“Well, I haven't developed powers or anything, but yes, this is a dream. I mean, a room twisted and changed, making the exit disappear. I was in a room with a bunch of goblins. I conjured up the hottie to save me. I scared the crap out of the goblins and before you say it, crap isn't a bad word. And Mr. Wizard brought me back to you.” I ticked off all the things using my fingers, then I smiled up at my brother. “See? Dream.”

Chill looked at Hades with a frown and narrowed eyes. “Did you give my sister drugs?”

“Chill! I didn't even see him until I was already stuck in the room with goblins. Besides, it's a dream and I wouldn't dream of taking drugs. Get it? Dream of taking drugs?” I start giggling but neither Hades nor Chill were paying me any mind.

My brother stalked up to Hades, and I realized Hades was half a foot taller than Chill. Dang, he was close to seven feet tall! I guess calling him Mr. Mountain in my head wasn't far from the truth.

Chill didn't seem to mind the height difference as he grasped the lapels of Hades' leather jacket. “What did you do to my sister, you piece of shit!”

I gasped. Chill did not cuss. EVER. I ran up and squeezed between the two giants. “Stop! Chill you just said a bad word, and Hades didn't give me anything, besides, this is a DREAM. My dream. Stop ruining it.”

Chill allowed me to push him back but he gave me a frustrated look, then smirked and looked up at Hades. “Fine sis, kiss him to prove to me that this is a dream.” His eyes held a challenge, but he still wasn't looking at me, but Hades, in some stupid testosterone ladened pissing contest. Again, not sure that can be called a bad word.. ok fine, peeing contest – that really doesn't have the right umph though.

“Guys, don't fight, and I really don't think it's a good idea to push her into doi-” I grabbed the lapels of the leather jacket just like my brother did and pulled down. Hades was surprised enough that he bent down in confusion and I cut off what he was saying by pressing my lips against his.

What? You wouldn't kiss the hottie in the dream? I was all over that once my brother gave me the idea. I doubt I'd ever be brave enough to do it in real life though.

Because I'd startled him, his mouth was slightly open, and I took full advantage. His lips were warm and soft and I darted my tongue between them, just enough to see if he would respond. A heartbeat past and I'd just started to think this wasn't going to happen the way I'd hoped, when Hades wrapped one arm around me, crushing me close and his other came up to hold the back of my head. His tongue found mine and my heart began to race as he kissed me back with relish.

“Oh my gods! Eww! I didn't think you'd do it. Oh, gross, I never want to see that again. Stop, please for the love of all that is holy, stop. My eyes, my brain, nooo! I can't ever un-see this!” My brother babbled from somewhere behind me.

Hades jerked his face back and I decided I might need to become a single instead of a twin. It took me a moment to realize I was once again off my feet. Does this guy not understand a five foot tall girl hates to be reminded of how short she is? Though, somehow, I kinda liked it. I mean no! I hated it, with a passion! Yeah.

He set me down and cleared his throat. A flush started at the bottom of his neck and I watched in amazement as it traveled up his face and over his ears. Wow, his ears were almost dayglo red. It was kinda cute.

“See? It's a dream.” I said.

“It's not a dream!” Both Chill and Hades yelled at me.
