“What do you mean FATHER IS MISSING?!” yelled Blossom. “HOW CAN THE MOST INFORMED AND DON’T FORGET, THE MOST IMPORTANT MAN OF WHOLE HIGHLAND BE MISSING?!” She stood up angry. “Blossom..” “No, mom. HOW?! EXPLAIN IT TO ME?!” Blossom looked at her father’s portrait. Meanwhile, Amethyst was in shock.
Great.. The only man who truly know who I am is missing…
“Did they hear anything yet? Is anyone holding him for ransom? The Wind..did they?” asked Amethyst in panic. “That is what scares me the most..” Avrilla was about to cry but she wiped away her tears before anyone could see it. “We heard nothing.”
Somewhere
“Avalon The Great, it is an honour.” Slowly, Avalon opened his eyes. He had been unconscious for a while. He saw that his kidnapper had tied him up. He couldn’t see who his kidnapper was. “Where am I? Who do you work for? And who the hell are you?” The kidnapper walked up to him, you could see his face now, it was Hans, in another disguise. “Highland, The Wind, Hans will do.” he smiled. “The Wind, huh? But you are a Highlander, I can hear it in the way you speak, son.” Hans slapped him. “I’m not your son. My dad died because of you.” Hans spit on the ground. “Fuck Highland.” “Do you really think you are one of them, boy? Do you think this will help you?” “Your death will help me.”
Avalon didn’t look surprised by Hans’ words. He had expected this ever since The Fairy War. “So, why am I still alive, lad? Too weak to do the job yourself?” Aggressively, Hans grabbed Avalon and pushed him in the back of his wagon. He put a towel in his mouth. “You will see.” Hans shut down the doors of the wagon and locked it. “Not so fast.” Hans felt a blade on his throat. He turned around and saw lieutenant Norman. “The moment I heard Avalon was missing AND that a cadet named Ned was found in a cabin tied up, I thought of the “Ned” I met. Who are you really boy?!” Hans observed the location. He saw that Norman brought no back-up or anything. “Listen Norman, you seem like a wise guy. We can split the money that The Wind is paying us.” Norman thought about the offer a second. “No! I’m not a traitor like you!” Hans sighed. “I liked you, Norman. Sorry.” “Sorry for what?! I have you-” Hans stabbed Norman with his own blade into his throat. Norman fell down on the ground. He was bleeding to his death. Hans sat down next to him. “So, where can I find Amethyst, Norman? My client wants her too but I have never been close to such a pretty girl.” Norman looked at him while he was choking in his own blood. “Man, I shouldn’t have gone for your throat but you gave me no choice!” Norman closed his eyes. He was dead. “Welp, so much for Amethyst’s location.”
“I can feel you sneaking up on me!” yelled Hans. He felt a cold breath in his neck. Ice-cold was the breath he felt. “Impressive work.” Hans turned around but no one was there. He looked up and saw someone on the rooftop. The elf was going through the papers he had stolen, it were Hans’ papers. “Hanzel, you have been a bad Highlander!” Hans opened his pocket and noticed the elf had stolen his identity. “HEY! GIVE THAT BACK, THIEF!” The elf laughed. “Says the one who kidnapped his own leader. That was sarcasme, right? I don’t really like hypocrites but okay, catch.” The elf threw Hans’ identity in the air, Hans was trying to catch it. By the time, he had caught it, the wagon’s doors were open. “Huh?” Hans was confused. He looked up at saw that elf was now holding Avalon by his neck. He threw a few golden coins on the ground for Hans. “Pleasure, doing business with you, Hanzel. And I’m sorry for the consequences but you know, The Wind doesn’t trust traitors.” Hans was still confused but then the assassin hit in with a small blade. A few seconds later, Hans dead too. Avalon, who had witnessed it all, wasn’t sure what the plans were of his new kidnapper. All he knew, was that The Wind wants him death for sure.
Highland
Avrilla and her daughters had find out about the slaughter that had happened just outside The Hills. “A Highlander did this to us.” said Avrilla disappointed. “A dead Highlander. A traitor.”
Blossom! - What? I’m just saying what we ALL think, Thyst.
“Yes, a dead Highlander. A dead lead. And we still have no clue of where your father is.” Avrilla was anger. “Well, let me go then! I’m the best you got.” “You are not going anywhere, Blossom! If anything happens to..” She didn’t want to finish her words. “Blossom, you will have to lead Highland” she said instead. “Yes, mother. I understand that I have to be the leader but I deep down know father would never give Highland to me..” She glanced at Amethyst. “Blossom! That bastard will never be Highlands leader while I still live!” yelled Avrilla. Blossom looked more offended than Amethyst.
She didn’t really care about being Highlands leader or not. All she wanted, was finding her father. She needed to know who she really is and the only one who knows that is Avalon.
“That “bastard” is my sister!” screamed Blossom while she grabbed Amethyst by her arm and walked out of the office with her.
Thyst, we are sneaking out in ten. - Blos! - I know you want to as well, so come.
“I can’t believe we are doing this behind Avrilla’s back.” said Amethyst while she stood in front of Blossom’s window. “You don’t call her “mom” anymore?” laughed Blossom. “I’m sorry but she called me..” “It’s alright. Let’s be honest, she wasn’t really a mother to you like ever. I felt more like I was..” said Blossom while she climbed out of her window, going down to the ground. “You should have never felt like that, Blos.” Blossom ignored what Amethyst just said. “Careful!” yelled Amethyst. She smiled at her younger sister. Blossom jumped on the ground. “Come little one, I don’t want her to find out that we are gone until we are far away from here.” Amethyst nodded and climbed down as well. “What are we going to do now, Blos?” said Amethyst as she landed on the ground.
“To the only elf in this region that I still trust. Cos.”
