Ryan stands at the bottom of the stairs, seeing Abby in the living room, sitting on the couch.
Oh no. Oh no, oh no. No, no no no no nonononono!
What is he going to do?! How will he explain that he broke the door? Or that he's disobeying?! He thought this was his chance to escape!
But... there's a slight sound. Despite the quiet room, there is a small sound coming from Abby... what is it? Is that... snoring? Ryan can see that Abby has one arm slung over the armrest of the couch, a bottle in her hand. Is she asleep? He quietly creeps closer, listening to her snoring. He gets close enough to see and...
She's asleep. Passed out drunk, on the couch. Ryan finally breathed out a small sigh of relief, although he didn't even notice he was holding his breath.
She's asleep! That's why the magic wore off! Aha! Ha! This is his chance! Smiling a little, and still shaking, Ryan heads over to the door. His hands shaking, he reaches for the doorknob, but...
He can't grab it. He's reaching out, but can't seem to reach. It takes him a moment to realize that the reason he can't get to the doorknob is because something is holding him back. Or someone.
"And just what do you think you're doing?" Abby asks, gripping Ryan's arm in one hand and an empty bottle in the other.
