As Rusty walked up to the West gate, he saw that like at the other garrison this one had a guard on either side of the gate, unlike the other garrison both of the guards at garrison A were in full metal armor which made them both look indistinguishable from each other. Instead of trying to walk through the gate like last time Rusty instead walked up to the guard on the left.
Once Rusty was about three meters away, the guard shouted “Halt!” In a stern tone, “What business do you have here?”
“I was told to come here to meet somebody,” Rusty said, holding up the paper in his hand.
The guard took the paper and after taking a few seconds to skim the paper over the guard said “Another graduate huh? Thundeer's gonna get one of you killed. I’ll open the gate and take you to her, just stay close to me.” The guard shouted a word to the other guard and then walked over to the gate. As the guard approached the gate a layer of pink mist enveloped them as they then proceeded to push open the large gate open with ease, “Let’s go,” said the guard to Rusty as the layer of mist around them disappeared.
Rusty followed the guard inside the building and began walking down a long hallway behind them. After a few minutes the guard stopped beside a wooden door, “She’s just in through there debriefing her team, I’ll be here till you go in,” the guard stated.
Rusty entered the door, on the other side he found the lady from the tier test standing next to a map and some papers on the wall at the other side of the room giving some kind of report to several others who were sitting in chairs listening between where Rusty was and where the woman was. As Rusty stepped in the room he decided to wait until whatever was happening was done.
“Everyone,” she said turning to the people sitting in chairs, “We’ll finish this talk tomorrow, go enjoy your day off, except for you Webs,” she said pointing to someone in the small crowd, “I need you to do something for me,”
After she finished everybody in the chairs got up and moved around the room with most of them leaving the room and giving Rusty a curious look on their way out. After most of them were gone Rusty headed towards the front of the room where the woman was talking to someone who was wearing so much armor that Rusty wasn’t sure if he was even a person.
“Are you sure we should take on our next mission without Donor?” asked the person in armor.
“We'll be fine without her for several missions at the least, I don’t see why you're so worried. Now shoo!" She said as she motioned for the suit of armor to leave, "Go enjoy your day off, I have business to attend to,” The woman replied and then turned to Rusty and put a hand on his shoulder, a chill running down his spine as she did so, “Ah, a new recruit, I’m busy for today so I’m gonna have Webs do your introduction...ish...,” she then turned to a bald man with dark skin wearing an unbuttoned white trench coat with dark blue accents leaning on the wall at the side of the room, “Webs, come here,” she called to the man.
“What is it?” said the man as he walked over in an annoyed tone, “Unlike Cloud I’d like to enjoy my day off.”
“I need you to take the new recruit through the basics of introduction today so that he’s ready for tomorrow when we head out,” she said to Webs who began to argue, “And no buts, someone has to do it and I also recall someone owing me for our last mission.”
As she began to walk out of the room Webs turned to look at Rusty, “Hey there new guy, I’m Chase, also known as Webs. Follow me,” Webs began to walk towards the door and Rusty followed him out. As they were walking down the hallway Webs began to talk, “Alright, so what’s your name newbie?” Webs questioned.
“Rustatsu Bloodborn,” Rusty replied.
"Well that's annoyingly long...I'm just gonna call you Rusty!" Webs declared, 'Well Rusty, you have officially signed up for the Blood Legion, which is fitting with a last name like Bloodborn. With you now there's nine of us in total including the captain. Because of the captain's demands we each have a code name that the captain come up with,” Webs stopped at a door and walked through it into a large courtyard with a door leading back into the building on the opposite side.
“The guy in all the armor you saw earlier is Cloud, both in real name and nickname, he's the only exception so get used to that. If you didn’t pick up on it earlier, on missions especially you’ll be referring to the everyone by their code names and they'll likewise refer to you that way, and whatever name you get is final, the last person who argued with Chi- I mean, the last person who argued with the captain she had me tie-up,” Webs let out a short laugh, "Oh we hung him from the garrison's roof for an hour before one of the royal guards had us take'em down."
With how large the garrison was Rusty could only imagine how scared one could be when hung from up there much less fo an hour, “Why are you called Webs?” Rusty asked, hoping to change the topic.
“Good question,” Webs answered, reaching his left hand back under his trench coat revealing and unsheathing a knife which he then used to stab the tip of his pointer finger on his right hand, causing a small amount of blood to come out, “Watch this,” he said as a crimson string shot from his finger and attached itself to the wall, “I can shoot blood strings from wounds that stick to things, the bigger the wound the stronger the string, even this tiny one is pretty strong, strong enough to need knife to cut that is. Oh yeah and I can retract them to,” as Webs finished the string he had sent out retracted back into his finger, “Its good to know your teammate's capabilities. Now then, let’s move on. I need to get you your uniform and some papers to look over for tomorrow.”
Webs and Rusty resumed their walk through the courtyard. Before Rusty had even realized it the two had ended up back inside and after a minute or so of walking they stopped at what appeared to be a window in the wall with a woman leaning over a counter with wares behind her, “This is the garrison’s shop, it's where you’ll be able to get any of your gear repaired if need be, that is if you have the coin.”
Webs walked up to the counter and asked for captain Thundeer’s “special” armor, but then hesitated and looked at Rusty judgingly and turned back and told the woman he needed a large to which the woman disappeared. After a minute or so of waiting the woman reappeared with armor almost exactly like the armor of the guards that were at garrison B three but the armor was entirely colored a crimson red with thin metal plating. Webs took the armor and headed back to Rusty, handing him the armor.
“This is Your’s,” said Webs handing Rusty the armor, “Now let’s head back to the Blood Legion’s meeting room, I’ll get you your team report for you to look over so you’re ready to head out tomorrow, oh yeah, we're going on a mission tomorrow so be here early”
Despite Webs talking about the rest of the team on their way back, all Rusty was thinking about was how much more dangerous taking the recommendation had made his job, had he just joined normally he'd be doing patrols around the city or something trivial, but now he was going on a mission into the outside world full of dangers, "I'm going to die," were the only words that came to Rusty's mind on their walk back.
As they re-entered the meeting room Webs went over to a shelf near the back of the room, grabbed a folder from it and then walked back over to Rusty, handing it over to him “This is a report of everything you need to know about the team, go home, read it, and be here by sunrise tomorrow.”

After leaving the garrison, Rusty was walked back to his house, alone. As Rusty reached his house Youn called out to him from across the street.
“Hey! What’s all that?” she said pointing to the armor and papers he was carrying, “Did you find a job? What is it? What district is it in? How much do you get paid? Do you like it? Do you have coworkers?”
“I don’t have time for this right now Youn, I have things to do,” Rusty replied as he opened his door to his house and stepped inside.
“So you did get a job?” she asked to which Rusty replied by shutting the door in her face and locking it, “Hey! I wasn’t finished!” she yelled at the door and then attempted to open it which did nothing, “Did he lock the door? How rude!” she mumbled to herself after the door wouldn’t open, “Dammit, he knows me too well,” she said as she began walking back to her own house, conflicted as to whether or not she should go get her key and barge in on him.
After Rusty had locked his door, he proceeded to his kitchen to make himself a sandwich and began to look over the papers he was given in preparation for what was sure to be a boring day.
