It had been a month since I had been hired.
I was getting used to this new reality, I began to feel at ease in that company. I had met my colleagues and they had turned out to be very available people, always ready to support and help me when I had some doubts.
My real problem was the nice group that I had "known" on the first day, but until now there was not something to worry about, since we had not had the opportunity to meet us.
I had been totally immersed in my duties, and fortunately I had not met them in the company, thus leading me to forget about their existence.
I had just finished the project, and I got up and turned to the window behind me.
The company had given me a nice office, of modest size, but very welcoming. It was decorated in a minimal way, but you could see that there was some care behind it.
They had put a small armchair, ( which I had already tested ) and which had proved very comfortable. There is also a large mirror in it, in which I could check my appearance before a meeting, or settle in case I left the house in a hurry.
My desk was in front of a large window, which allowed me to admire the view of the city.
And that was what I was doing at the time.
It was a really beautiful day, with the sun shining high, it reflected its light on the leaves of the trees scattered here and there, in the green spaces of the various companies, which created a certain harmony.
I closed my eyes and I fully savored that tranquility.
A light cough woke me from my calm.
- Miss - I was called in a whisper.
I turned and saw two figures standing in front of the entrance to my office.
They looked tense and embarrassed. I looked at them in silence, slightly annoyed.
- We need to talk to you - the moorish-haired boy began.
I gave a slight nod of the head, a tacit invitation to continue.
- Well, here ... We remember the laughter behind you, and we were rude. We wanted to apologize, both to you, and to the girl who was with you. -
I did not say a word, the tension was palpable. I stood watching them impassively.
- You're right to behave like that, we were really rude - this time the other guy was talking, the one with a sculpted nose. His gaze was firm, like that of his companion.
- Jeongguk and Hoseok, right? - I asked, looking at them sharply.
They nodded surprised.
- Do you expect that with these excuses all is resolved? - the thought of those laughter had resurfaced in my mind.
- You have to know one thing. I've always hated these bully attitudes, laughing at the back of people for no reason, and moreover just because you have nothing to do. We clarify things immediately, so we will avoid misunderstandings. We work in the same place and therefore inevitably we must live peacefully. Said this, I will limit myself to being professional, doing my job in the best way, but I do not care in any way to have any relationship of friendship with you, I do not want certain individuals in my life - my glance was icy.
- And now out of my office, you've already stolen me too much time -
They looked at me slightly disappointed, but after a last glance, they went out in silence
I returned to look at the view, I did not want to get me down by that trail of negativity.
I closed my eyes again and savored the sunbeams on my face.
What a fantastic feeling.
