Zayn sat in his boarding room staring at the ceiling he couldn't believe the conversation he just had with Evan. He felt as though he had gone overboard but deep down he wanted Evan to know.

Zayn's phone rang and he reluctantly grabbed it and looked at the screen. It was his mom and he wasn't expecting a call from her even though it was valentines day

“Hi hunny,” zayn's mom said smiling

“Hey mom,” Zayn said while rolling over on his bed

“I miss you so much. Happy valentine day”

“Same to you. Did dad get you something good?” Zayn said uninterestedly

“Yes he did but that's not why I called I have some news”

“What is it,” Zayn asked looking concerned

“I know we have gone through a lot especially since the time you came out. But am tired now. I don't care what people say anymore let them talk. I miss you been here and your brothers and sisters miss you too. Sending you away was a big mistake. I am missing out the best years of your life. zayn I want you to come home” zayn's mom said as she teared up

“Will you come do you want to come home?” she asked

“Are you serious!” Zayn said as he stood up excitedly and started kissing his mom through the phone. “I am definitely coming home!”

“ then start packing your flight will be on Monday”

“What about school. I have a lot of incomplete things” Zayn asked

“Well, hun I hate to make you move so abruptly. But you will have to transfer everything to a school here. I know you have settled there pretty well but you belong here with your family” Zayn's mom said assuringly.

“Okay okay no more explanations I can't wait to come home,” Zayn said excitedly

Zayn had never felt so much joy in his life. This feeling was unlike anything he had ever felt. He had been away from home for almost 2 years and hadn't seen a lot of his friends since that time. Most importantly he hadn't seen Evan. That's why he was so excited the idea of seeing the face Evan would make when he saw him excited him the most.

Zayn had always liked Evan and he was a big part of why he came out. He didn't want to lie to his friend and wanted him to know who he really was. Zayn couldn't quite remember when these feelings started maybe it was when they joined the same soccer team or maybe it was when they moved into the same neighborhood but at some point, Zayn realized his feelings were more than just admiration of a good friend. He didn't want to ruin their friendship by telling Evan he liked him more than just a friend. The idea of losing Evan was too much to bear so he came out at least that way there was clear ground between them.

The time Zayn spent away from Evan killed him deep down. He now had a whole life and he was someone not part of it. He tried his best not to be left in the past so he texted Evan regularly and sent him gifts on his birthday. It became normal after some months but then conversations began to slow down and a sort of boundary was drawn between them.

That's was when Zayn realized he had to let his feelings mature and that meant forgetting about Evan even if it was just for one second.

It was at that time that he started dating Mushan. Mushan was just about the same age as him and there was something about his energy that drew Zayn towards him. At first, they would just kiss and play with each other but Mushan wanted to go all the way and was constantly bringing up the idea to Zayn. His argument was that people can date until they have sex that way they know for sure if the connection was real and strong. 

Zayn had a different outlook on the matter though. He believed two people should be deeply in love and then finally have sex as a way of confirming their feelings. But of course, Mushan thought Zayn's opinions were childish and irrelevant. It had been three months since they started dating and it was Zayn's seventeenth birthday and Mushan prepared a surprise for him. A striptease and a sexy outfit. something that had definitely never been done for him. He was weak and Mushans energy was enticing. He went ahead and gave in giving his all to Mushan. Every bit of his innocence taken with every thrust he gave and it was in that moment he discovered a pleasure he wanted so deeply. After having sex with Mushan they slowly just drifted apart. No one was at fault but they decided it would be better if they just broke up. It didn't take long before Zayn found another person to play around with. He enjoyed the fun he learned a lot about what he liked and how to please. But after a while, he felt guilty and he stopped trying to get laid. He focused on school and started texting Evan more and more. He still liked him just as much as he did two years ago. This was a fact and sex wasn't needed to prove that.

Zayn had everything ready for his trip. His bags were packed and his school transfer was processing. He got to the airport as early as he could fearing the thought of missing his flight. He was tired and had barely gotten enough sleep. He had so much to do and so much on his mind.

Evan, on the other hand, had no idea Zayn was coming back. He started his day just as always following his strict routine and rushing to school.

“ morning,” Alvin said as he watched Evan pull his chair out of his desk.

“ morning” Evan replied while yawning

“I have something to ask?” Alvin said excitedly

“ go ahead”

“ well am having a sleepover gaming night….. tonight wanna come,” Alvin asked

“ its a school night Alvin” Evan replied quickly

“ Nope tomorrows actually a public holiday”

“Seriously,” Evan said as he pulled out his phone to look at his calendar

“ Oh wow your right” he replied

“ So are you down for it,” Alvin asked

“I guess so but where's it gonna be and who's coming,” Evan asked finally interested

“it's at my house obviously and the gaming squad is tagging along. Am gonna have snacks drinks and guess what alcohol too” Alvin said enthusiastically

“Seriously” Evan replied

“ yep and that's not all. I am gonna have proper sleeping bags so don't worry about bringing any. I have brand new games and my Dad just got a wifi booster so don’t expect any glitches”

“ oh man that’s exciting if we game all night we can actually have our team rank improve,” Evan said excitedly

“ so yeah be at my place by 7 pm okay,” Alvin said

“Alright,” Evan said quickly
