Sam was ecstatic to be meeting up with his best friend, Ani, for a nice little getaway in the woods. He had been wanting to ask her out for some time now but he never expected her to actually say yes. He had brought a small pocket flashlight, some matches, and his sleeping bag. He continued to try to call Ani but she sadly wasn't answering. The night got colder and darker, ensnaring him in the night, like some sort of fucked up Venus flytrap. He started to wish he had his mother around still. He missed her a lot. She was killed while working at her job. "Dad always told her to leave." Sam said to himself, clutching the straps on his backpack. He felt abandoned somehow. He looked up, seeing a large abandoned building directly in front of him. Just seeing the symbol on the side made him tear up. "The old facility...I thought they tore it down last year.." Sam said softy, touching the wall gently as he approached the white building. He thought to himself silently, setting his backpack down, taking his flashlight and matches from the side pocket on his bag. "I'll find you, Mom.." He said, entering quietly. He walked through the halls, looking around for any doors he could enter. Suddenly, he heard a dark voice from down the hall. It was...low singing? He chuckled to himself. "Ani! Don't joke with me like that!" He yelled. "Who's Ani, Pal? The name's Smiley. Not Ani." Sam suddenly began to panic as a tall shadow-like figure charged toward him, dark eyes seeming to flare with some kind of intense hunger for his flesh. He dashed down the hall, throwing a match behind him, starting a small fire that kept him back and away from him. He rushed into sector 1, dashing down a hall and finding his mother's old office, locking himself within it. Breathing heavily, he stood up, starting to tear up. The entire room smelled like his mom's perfume. He sighed. "What did you hide in here, Mom..?" He sat down at her computer, passing out on impact from his own fatigue.
