My hair and I have a complicated relationship, fellas.
So, I was born with pin-straight, thin as fuck blond hair. It faded to light brown as I got older. It was nipple length until I was 13 (2017) and shaved it off due to chemical/heat damage. And then it grew back...
It did not grow back the same as it was. It grew back the same color, but it was fucking thick and curly/kinky and I had no clue what to do with it. In turn, I kept it in a keratin-treated pixie for about a year.
Note: DO NOT DO KERATIN. PLEASE. I BEG YOU. IT IS NOT GOOD FOR YA HAIR. OH MY GOD.
So yeah, I grew it out (started in August '18). In the first few months, I dyed it silver and flat ironed it religiously. Not good, bro. Then in November I dyed it dark brown and started easing up on the heat. It looked so bad. Just look up "heat damaged curly hair" on google and pretty much any image is accurate. And then I stopped using heat a few weeks ago. I have too much other shit to do than my fucking hair. So I went to Walmart, bought way too many transition products, and basically said fuck all. Now it looks slightly better and I feel much more easy-breezy or whatever.
moral of this story??
Keratin is bad for you and you gotta work what you got
:))))
