Forever I fell but in very little time I saw my life closing before my eyes. I hear my child crying for me as I fell down with the beasts from childhood nightmares.

YOU’RE ALL REAL? I tried to call out but I could not but still I tried.

WHAT’S HAPPENING? HOW ARE YOU HERE? Still no words came out. Slowly tears leaked from my eyes and then I hit the ground and a heavy weight was on top of me.

“Stop crying, you pathetic thing before more come.” The beast from before yelled as it covered my eyes with its strange arms,

“ Stop now. Do you want them to find this path? Because I can tell you when that port charges up again they will go in and they will take every life inside of that house. Do you understand me? I SAID DO YOU UNDERSTAND?” Slowly I rise, wipe my eyes free of tears, and I nod.

WHY CAN’T I SPEAK ALOUD? I question in my head as the beast looks around, as if looking for something. Maybe even the beast that fell with us.

“You can’t speak here like I can’t speak there. It’s just the way it is.

Now are you done or are we gonna sit here all week?”

WAIT ALL WEEK? WHAT DO YOU MEAN ALL WEEK? I HAVE TO GET HOME NOW. I DON’T HAVE ALL WEEK.

“ Don’t worry your ugly little head Thing. One week here is a single day where you come from. Now while we wait why don’t we get to know each other considering you created this place and everyone here. Now tell me why haven’t you returned. The throne has been empty and the…” The beast stopped, as if he had heard something from the mist that surrounded you.

“ Quick get up.” It whispered as it pulled at my arm.

WHY? WHAT’S HAPPENING? I question as it starts to pull me forward. The beast ignored Me and continued to pull.

“ No time to talk. We must move before they arrive.”

BEFORE WHO ARRIVE?

“ Before they arrive you stupid thing. Now hurry, we must reach the safe house.”

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON HERE. WHAT ARE YOU? WHERE AM I?

“ Come and I will reveal all but we must hurry.” That is when I hear the screams coming from behind us. I want to look back but somehow I know not to. As the beast leads me away from the port that could take me home they start to move in a direction that for some reason I know is the wrong direction.

YOU’RE GOING THE WRONG WAY, I cry out as we get farther from where we need to go. Slowly the beast stops, turns towards me, and looks at me with a really weird face.

“ If you say so.” It whispered as it walked back and finally went the right way.

“ Don’t expect me not to ask you later how you knew that, Thing,” It growled as we once again started to run.

We ran for what seemed like hours but also no time at all. As we stopped the beast gasped for breath. But I seemed unaffected by the amount of running I just did.

“ How are you not tired Thing,” The beast gasped,” we just ran about six miles and you’re not even sweating.”

HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW? I question and I begin to stretch out my arms and legs but they seem unaffected as well.

I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE, I say as I look around.

“ Well don’t look for to long,” The beast seemed to breathe out the words as if tired of me already, “ we have a way to go still.”

WELL LET’S GO THEN, I say eager to find out anything at this point.
