So that’s how I ended up working at the CDSP.
Now that I’m saying that, I guess not everybody knows about the center yet.
Let explain the current situation real quick. My name’s Tamaria, I was a police dispatcher with my local police department before I got recommended for the position at the center. The CDSP, Center for Dispatch of Specialised Personnel, is much like my previous job. The main difference that sets it apart is the personnel that I deal with. Instead of your average cop on the street, I will be handling the SDS. The Specialised Defense Squad, handles all the cases that are deemed too dangerous to assign first responders to.
The best example of such a case are the current robberies being committed by the TinCaps in the East Side of Owensvile. They’re a gang of telepathic criminals that have been hitting banks and hospitals over the past couple months. The deputies assigned to their cases have been unable to find where the gang is currently running from. So far, the TinCaps has stolen well over $150K in the past three months and Opioids from the Med Bays. The deputies are unsure of why the crimes have been committed due to their lack of experience with gang activity in the area.
I don’t know much else about what’s happening with the TinCaps, aside from what I’ve heard during shift briefings and rumors.
Most of the time if a call that we receive turns out to be an in progress incident involving a suspect with abilities, we would have to transfer it over to the operators at the CDSP.
But now that’s me. I will get to, or should I say, have to dispatch for the CDSP. I didn’t ask for this transfer nor did I want it. Sure, the position pays a little better, but I had made a life at my old dispatch room and I’m going to miss my old coworkers.
I need to stay positive about the whole situation though, because who knows what could come from me taking the position. I guess I’ll find out in the morning when I go in for my first shift.
