Luna's Pov

I checked my phone repeatedly rolling my eyes at the time, I have an hour left till Daniel comes to get me and I didn't wanna go.

"Alex, could you drive me home?"

He stayed quiet so I glimpsed up and he was sleeping soundly, I knew he was going to do that. I nudged him with my foot but this kid was knocked out.

"Psst hey, Alex."

He didn't even flinch; I moved closer and was preparing to hit his arm thinking I could get him out of his deep slumber, but he clutched my wrist.

"Luna I've told you before if you ever bug me while I'm sleeping I'll hurt you."

I rolled my eyes and took my arm back.

"Yeah sure, sooo could you drop me off before Daniel gets to my house and realizes I'm not there."

He yawned stretching his arms up.

"Yeah but let's get your face"fixed" up so your mom doesn't see it, I hate hiding things from her but we both know what'll happen if she finds out."

Alex got off the couch then wobbled up the stairs to retrieve his mom's make up bag I just sighed, my mom would blow this whole situation up. I love her and all but I just can't let her know about this. Alex soon returned waving the bag in the air.

"C'mon let me powder your nose."

He pointed to the counter in the kitchen as I rolled my eyes getting up.

"Why here?"

I quickly jumped up then sat down.

"I can't see that well in the living room."

He pulled out a bottle of concealer then brought it up to my face seeing if it was my skin tone.

"Holy fuck your pale!"

I scoffed.

"The names Casper."

He smiled shaking his head, he pulled out a small sponge that looked like an egg.

"Okay hold still."

He dabbed a little bit of the liquid onto the sponge than with his opposite hand he held my forehead making sure to keep me in place.

"Ah that's cold and not so hard or you'll make my bruise bigger."

He repeatedly dabbed the sponge across my cheek making sure to cover everything.

"Alright, I think that looks better."

He passed me a small hand mirror and I took a look at myself, he did a pretty good job as I slide my fingers across it.

"Alex is there something your not telling me, do you become a woman at night?"

He punched my shoulder.

"I'll actually give you a new mark on your face if you want."

I snickered.

"You still going to the party?"

He nodded zipping up the bag.

"Yeah, I won't be able to sleep tonight knowing you're there with that fucking asshat."

I gripped onto the counter remembering what Daniel is like when he's been drinking.

"Y-Yeah I honestly wish I could just leave him but I don't think he'd let me."

Alex pushed my head up.

"Listen you don't have to do anything that guy says, it might be hard and it might be scary but as long as you do what you know is right here and here."

He pokes my chest and my forehead.

"Then that's all that matters."

I nodded.

"Thank you for not leaving me."

He nudges me.

"Of course I don't think I could anyway."

I glanced at the stove time and jumped off the counter.

"Shit c'mon we gotta go."

I grabbed my things then rushed out the door with Alex following behind me, he unlocked the car doors and whirled out of the driveway. The whole time we were driving I felt uneasy and numb, my stomach just twisted into knots.

"Luna stop worrying, I won't let him touch you."

I nodded not saying anything, I mean what could I say; nothing can change the fact that I have to go to this party with Daniel.

"We're here."

I glanced up at my house; unsure if I actually wanted to get out of the car or not.

"Luna?"

Alex touched my arm causing me to flinch.

"I'm alright, I better go before he gets here and sees me."

I open the door and go to get out but Alex catches me.

"I promise I'll be there, I won't leave you alone."

I nodded giving him a false smile, I shut the car door and stagger up to my driveway. As soon as I open the front door my mom's smile greets me.

"Was that Alex?"

I nodded slowly kicking my shoes off.

"Yea."

I walk over to the stairs but she follows me.

"Why didn't he come in?"

I shrugged not really wanting to talk, I also didn't want her to see my face.

"Daniel should be here soon, I have to get ready I don't want him to wait."

She nodded giving me a warm smile.

"Alright, sweetie."

I walked up the stairs and shut my door quietly, I didn't know what was worse not wanting to go or having to go anyway. I wandered into my bathroom and examined my face, the makeup remained and kept everything hidden. The tears that wanted to come out I forced down; I can't let him bother me tonight.

 I leave the bathroom and figure out what I should exactly wear, I didn't know who was going to this stupid party so I just ripped through my closet. I found an old band t-shirt Alex had given to me ages ago, I stared at it. 

It doesn't look like anything I'd wear but fuck it. I stood up and threw it on my bed then searched around for something else. I wanted to be as hidden as I possibly could even if I looked like a completely different person; in the corner of my eye I saw a pair of ripped jeans my brother gave me before he left for college, he wanted me to dress less like a "nerd" but I never wore them. 

Tonight I was determined to not give a fuck. Once I was finally done I ran downstairs causing my mom to do a double take in my direction.

"You look... different."

I quietly nodded feeling a little anxious maybe she knew something was going on.

"But I like it, you look good."

I gave her a half-hearted smile and nodded.

"Thank you."

I went over to the mirror hanging above all the shoes, the shirt was a little long but looking like this I could probably hide from Daniel's unwanted attention. My smile fades and in the corner of my eye, I see his car pull into my driveway; quickly I put my shoes on and head out the door before my mom could say anything. I felt my hands begin to tremble as I got closer to the car, I reached out and slowly opened the door. Once I got in Daniel stared at me quietly but he had this emotion in his eyes that always made me nervous.

"W-What are you wearing?"

I shrugged.

"Whatever just don't embarrass me once we get there, I could care less if you embarrass yourself."

He turned back and pulled out of my driveway.

"So what did you need from Alex's place?"

I looked down at my hands feeling them become clammy.

"Um, I just had to grab a book that he borrowed."

Daniel nodded but kept his eyes on the road, It was odd he was so reserved than the usual arguing. Soon we got to the party and Daniel made sure to have the last words before we got out.

"Luna, I hope you don't get the wrong idea."

I stayed quiet waiting for him to finish talking.

"I'm not stupid!"

He slapped the dashboard.

"If I find out your cheating on me with Alex, I'll be your worst nightmare."

He then steps out of his car and holds his hand out.

"Now give me your phone."

I looked at him surprised.

"B-But how am I supposed t-

"GIVE ME YOUR FUCKING PHONE!"

I quickly pulled it out of my pocket then tossed it at him.

"I don't care figure something out, If I lose you.. you walk home."

And with that he slammed the door in my face, I quickly get out of the car and follow behind him. How am I supposed to find Alex now...

Alex's Pov

I sighed as Luna staggered up to his own driveway, I knew he really didn't wanna go and I wished we could have just stayed at my house. I tried to fake being asleep hoping he'd just shrug it off and stay but Daniel scares the shit out of him. 

I drove back to my house and decided to change my clothes before leaving for the party, as I walked into my room I texted Luna to find out if he left or not but he didn't answer me. 

I threw my phone on my bed and began going through my clothes, I decided to just throw a flannel overtop of my hoodie and called it a fit. I shook my hair out and walked back out to my car, as I sat in the car I stared at my phone refreshing the text messages but Luna still didn't text me back.

 I sent him another message asking where he was in hopes he'd reply; Luna usually always answers me but maybe he went home and fell asleep. 

I decided to go to his house before the party maybe I was just overreacting, I pulled out of my driveway and drove back over to Luna's. I let myself in but knocked as I opened the door, Luna's mom greeted me with a hug.

"Alex, hunny how are you?!"

I smiled laughing at her generosity.

"I'm great, how are you?"

She nodded.

"I'm alright could I ask you something?"

I nodded.

"Luna has been very distant lately and I don't know why."

I rubbed her shoulder trying to make her feel better.

"Luna is just going through some stuff but I'm helping him through it, no need to worry."

She nodded giving me another hug.

"What are you doing here anyway, Luna left with Daniel not too long ago."

I quickly put my shoes back on swinging the door open.

"Thanks, we'll probably be back later."

I waved then ran back to my car.

"Daniel, that bastard!!"

I yelled as I now drove to the party, slightly speeding. Daniel probably took his phone.

I was quickly stopped by a mess of cars blocking me from going any further, the whole street was basically blocked off. 

I turned my car off and could hear the music from 6 houses away, I quickly unbuckled my seatbelt and ran up to the house. There were people everywhere how am I going to find Luna...

Luna's Pov

I followed Daniel almost everywhere just so I didn't have to be alone, we walked up to a group of his cunt friends and chatted.. well he chatted while I remained quiet I couldn't say much while his friends were making fun of me, I quickly just got away from him. 

Feeling like shit tonight wasn't what I wanted but I knew that eventually, it was going to be the outcome.

 I sat in the kitchen and began pouring myself shot after shot until I started feeling drowsy, I knew I shouldn't have done that but I just wanted to forget and make the pain of my face go away. I slumped down in my seat and held my head in my arms, I'm so stupid.

"Luna what are you doing!?"

I quickly jolt up and noticed Daniel scowling at me, I shrugged not really feeling anything.

"Getting drrunk to feeeel better."

Daniel promptly ripped me out of the chair holding me up.

"Look at you your already slurring your words, we just got here you dumb slut."

I was taken back by his words, slut I haven't heard that one before so I laughed.

"Sllllllut."

I laughed even harder saying it out loud, it's crazy how little you care when you're wasted. Daniel was beyond pissed off and I could already tell he was scheming ways to get back at me; he gripped my shirt in his fist.

"Your acting like an unkempt dog, sober yourself up or I'll be keeping your phone."

He shoved me back down into my seat and walked away, I just rolled my eyes and leaned on my hand. I could feel my face heat up from how intoxicated I was, I'll just wait here until Alex finds me or something.

 I definitely didn't wanna drink anymore and I also didn't wanna do something stupid, as I was poking at the glass in front of me I saw that new kid from school but I totally forgot what his name was. Toby?, Tommy?, I kept racking my brain until I finally got it and was so out of it I decided to shout it out loud.

"Teddy!"

His head shot towards me and I quickly covered my mouth, I went to hide my face but hit my head off the table, I groaned as I heard him laugh at me. I was so embarrassed I didn't want to look up but I could hear his footsteps coming towards me, I was also so drunk I didn't know what to do.

"Luna are you alright?"

I sighed and glanced up holding onto my now hurt forehead.

"Um, i-i'm okay."

I gave him a nervous smile and he kept snickering, I felt like I wanted to scream at how awkward I was.

"Your cheeks are flushed."

He reached his hand out and lightly brushed it across my face, I flinched away looking around for Daniel but didn't see his anywhere; I calmed down a bit.

"Who are you looking for?"

I giggled because it was more making sure Daniel didn't see me talking to Teddy, rather than looking for him.

"Just lookingg around."

He nodded laughing at my slurring.

"Your drunk aren't you?"

I nodded frowning a little.

"Yeahh butits only because I want toforgett."

He furrowed his eyebrows.

"Forget what?"

I covered my mouth and looked away.

"I shouldn't havesaid that."

Teddy walked over to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water, I was a little unclear at what he was doing but then he passed it to me.

"You should drink it, having a hangover is the worst."

He shot me his smile that could literally light up any room, why is he being so nice to me I didn't understand.

"why're yousooo nice to me?"

He looked at me weird.

"I want to help you, also I wanted to get to know you more."

I choked on my water as he finished talking, get to know me? That's funny.

"I leave you alone for 20 minutes and your already acting stupid!"

I snapped my head around and saw Daniel with his arms crossed over his chest, his expression scared the crap out of me.

"N-No I wasn't he was just helping me."

Daniel grabbed me out of my seat once again, this time I knew he was going to hurt me.

"Let's go!"

He hauled me away, Teddy looked really concerned as he shot daggers behind Daniels' head.

"Daniel please s-stop."

He whirled me around to face him, then clutched my jaw with his one hand and forced my mouth open. With the opposite hand, he shoved something on my tongue, then made me keep it in my mouth till it dissolved.

"You'll listen to me now won't you?"
