‘Driping. I can hear the pitter-patter of the lukewarm rain hit my smoot black hair. Lying. That’s what I’m doing. My hair is actually rather thick and spiky now that I think about it.
I sigh. I know that by not bearing a water-proof coat, wellies or an umbrella will result in me staying in bed for, at least, a week until my neutrophilian white blood cells have completed their jobs.
In my opinion, I think it’s better if I don’t return back to school at all. It’s not like anyone will miss me. I’ve always been, what they call, a lone wolf. It’s difficult to see who would remember me.
I can imagine…”A boy named Jin-Su has dropped out of school just because he couldn’t answer a simple question.”
How pathetic of me. I shouldn’t have started school. I should have become anonymously popular on the internet under an avataer and a simple yet engaging profile. That way I won’t make a mistake, I won’t hesitate, I would be perfect…but I’m not…’
“Jin-Su…”
“Jin-Su…”
“Jin-Su!”
‘I hear my worthless name being called out. I don’t want to show my face to them. I don’t deserve to-‘
“Jin-Su!”
‘A hand stops me at my hundredth step. I exhale faintly. I blink for some time. How I’ll I face the person? What will I say? I decide to turn around to find out for myself.’
“Jin-Su.”
‘My eyes gradually expand.’
“Ha-eun?”
“Jin-Su. Why did you walk away? You missed out.”
“Yeah…I missed out on the team’s loss…”
“No. You missed out…the part where we win!”
‘I swear. My heart stopped…and it’s not because I sneezed either.’
