After school was over Cody and I walked outside. “Hey….um...so would you like to live at my place? Until you have somewhere to live anyway.” He was right. I don’t have anywhere to go. But I can’t live with him. He’s a BOY! I can’t live alone with a boy! Things would be awkward. “Y-you sure that’s okay?” “Yeah! You can sleep in the guest room.” Once again he had that huge smile on his face. “Follow me, my cars this way.” He grabbed my hand and raced to his car. His car was a purple mustang with a metallic skull on the front. Honestly I expected a completely different car. Maybe a minivan or something.

After a 20-30 min drive we pulled up to a big beige house. It a had a little garden by the porch. The garden had a lot of strange plants in it. Some of them looked like they were big enough to eat me! We walked up the porch and he unlocked the door. His house was so neat and tidy. “Welcome to my house!” He bowed while holding the door open. I let out a small laugh and

smiled. A black and white corgi ran towards me. “This is Skelly. I found him on the side of the rode. It looked like he was hit by that buss pretty bad.” Well this just got depressing…..I think? Honestly it’s hard to tell if somethings sad or not here. “Hi Skelly!” I said in a baby voice while petting the dog. Cody laughed.”W-what!?” He smiled “Nothing.” I smiled at him and continued to pet the small dog. “Your room is upstairs to the right.”

“O-okay” So I went upstairs to check out my room. The walls were a blue tint with a hint of purple, there was two small windows, and a huge bed with pink and black sheets. “What do you think. I decorated it myself.” Cody said with a smug grin. “Cute, but it’s missing something.” Cody looked at me sort of confused as I pull out a picture and set up on the nightstand by my bed. “Who’s that in the picture with you?” tears start rolling down my cheeks. “My mom………..” It pains me that I won’t be able to see her. I miss being alive. I miss going to a living school with living friends, I miss my mom. “Cody, how did you die?” He sat down on my bed gesturing me to sit with him. “My dad was abusive to me and my mother and eventually he beat her to death and i got depressed and ended my life………” At that moment my heart shattered. I didn’t know how broken he must feel. “I-I’m sorry for you and your mother.” “It’s okay. Now me and mom live happily in this world while my dad is burning in hell.” He let out a small depressed sounding chuckle. He slowly got up and left.
