At school I found Blade in our class, reading something; I was surprised at how fast he noticed me... was he smiling? "Hey." I gave a small smile. "Lillian, you're back. How are you feeling?" I sat down. "I feel a bit dizzy but ok... what even happened yesterday." he shook his head. "I'm honestly not sure. Somehow you summoned a Guardian... a strong one at that." he sighed, tapping a pen I didn't know he had been holding.
"What are you writing?"
"I'm drawing that symbol."
"The one that appeared on the ground?"
"Yeah. I'm not sure what Guardian it goes to."
I stared at it. "Hey so... I'm meeting my birth father tonight." he stared at me. "What?" I nodded. "Yeah... well, I kinda know him already but-" "Yo." my sister showed up, slightly scowling when she noticed Blade. "John... thanks for bringing this dork home yesterday." he nodded. "No problem." a bell rang & my sister walked off. "Later Sis. Good luck tonight, love ya." I smiled as Blade sighed. "Well, have a good night. Would you like me to stick around?" I shook my head. "No thanks. We can hang out later though!" Blade nodded. "Sure... it'll be my treat."
I explained everything to my dad as he drove me to the church. "Alright. Well have a good time." I smiled & walked into the church, breathing getting a little ragged. This was the church where I was rescued at... the situation wasn't optimal either. A Japanese man was sitting in a pew, looking down. "Um... hey." he looked up, dark brown eyes almost black as a smile crossed his face. His hair is long & in a neat bun; he's wearing a black shirt with a dark violet jacket & black jeans with sneakers. "Riri... how are you?" he asked, using my Japanese name. "I'm ok..." we shared an awkward hug.
"I'm ok."
"You know we don't have to meet here."
"Oto-"
"This probably isn't the best for-"
"Oto, I'm ok. Promise."
He sighed. "What did you want to talk about anyhow?" I took a deep breath. "I... I'm not sure how to say this really. Um... so, I can see stuff... like... ghosts & demons..." I glanced at my birth father, who was pale. He muttered in Japanese. "That's my fault. Riri, I'm something called-" "A Sightful." we turned around to see Blade standing there. "Hiroki Nakajima. I thought, granted, there's a few devils & demons with your last name, but at least this confirms that your daughter is nothing but a Sightful." Blade was... different. I hadn't really seen his full demon form, but this was more than anything I had seen from him before; his sclera were jet black, but his red eyes were the same, if not shining brighter than ever. His horns seemed sharper than normal as my birth father sighed. "Oto... Blade, how do you two-" "Later. We talk. Now."
