“I prefer girls” Evan answered confidently
“Cool, then u see the girl over there with the brown hair?.” Trixie asked as she pointed to the girl
“That's my friend Lexi and she sort of has a crush on you and I was hoping you could exchange numbers if that's okay?” Trixie said while handing Evan her phone.
Evan didn't hesitate at all. After all, he was a guy and an opportunity to get with a lady was an opportunity he had to take. Evan grabbed Trixie's phone and put down his number. Trixie smiled and walked away excitedly heading back to her table of friends who were cheering for her.
“It's really late we should head back,” Zayn said
“Yeah, you're right we should. Evan replied
Zayn didn't know how to feel about Evan handing over his number to a girl he barely knew. He wanted to be happy for him after all he was just being a guy and trying to get with a pretty girl. On the other hand, Zayn couldn't shake off the feelings jealousy he had. He wanted Evan all to himself but it was too early to be trying to get with him.
Zayn and Evan said their goodbyes both satisfied with the day they spent together. Evan got home and quickly went to bed. The next morning Evan found a message from Lexi. He didn't know what to do. The girl looked really pretty and what luck he had that beautiful girl liked him. Evan wasn't really looking for a relationship but the idea of having a girlfriend did excite him. Maybe that was exactly what he needed a girl in his life.
If he had a girlfriend he wouldn't have to deal with the confusion of dealing with Alvin and the weirdness between him and Zayn. If he got a girlfriend he would finally be heading in the right direction just as he had always wanted. After all, the kiss with Alvin wasn't something he did by choice. He was sort of forced into a situation that he couldn't understand and influenced into doing something that wasn't his choice.
