I couldn’t see anything. The patterning drops of water consumed me. It was dark; the plaster of nothingness scared me a little. It reminded me of the path I grew up on because of my mother’s greed. Because my father decided to leave us with nothing. I felt something warm and soothing on my hand. If felt promising; like I wouldn’t be left again. The final drop of water had a mix of colors and when it hit the ground, everything around me exploded into a whistling dream. The gentle features of the velvet clouds, sparkling stars, and the tear-jerking sunset colored sky filled me with hope. My hand was being moved lightly; two thumbs massaged my hand. Tanoris's eyes were chrome and staring deep into my brown eyes. His face was blank, but his eyes showed everything. “You're a strange one.” A slight gust of wind picked up and the dusty indigo clouds blew away, showing the multi-colored sky. “Such a strange and complex beauty. If it means to protect that, I must keep you ignorant.” I yanked my hand from him and the color retreated instantly and I was left in the pitch black abyss. “I’m not gonna be stupid because you think girls are only supposed to be pretty! You think like them! I won’t have it!”
The floor became cold and hard; the atmosphere was harsh. Water dripped on my head slowly from the ceiling. I stood up and began to walk until I was tugged backwards. I had looked to see that I was binded by chain. I wasn’t the only one in here, I knew that; but it’s presence was comforting and evil at the same time. A hand quickly rushed towards me. I moved and turned away, but the second I turned, the hand grabbed my face. I tried pulling it off, but it’s nails were sharp and digging into my skin with a firm grip. I wasn’t scared, but I was panicking. A shadow moved closer and closer until I saw two yellow eyes and one burgundy eye with multiple black pupils. The eyes closed then a body emerged from the darkness. He looked like me but had slightly different features. He had a masculine build. His hair was curly, swept over to one side while the other side was shaven; it was black with red tips. His eyes opened and, like mine, they were a deep brown. “You….look like me.” His voice was slightly deep and made me shiver. “You shouldn’t be here. Leave.” A flush of water came in, but I was still there in the room. He huffed in annoyance and a burst of light hit me. I was lying outside the door, Tanoris by my side. “You almost died. Exactly how I almost did.” I had scorches on my skin and my shirt was wet.
