“It would be best now if you rest, you seem exhausted,” I told Nirandi. Her clothes were burnt and wet and her skin was scorched as well. She nodded slightly looking at her hands. We walked out of the garden’s secret and went back inside. No one was in the main room which meant they were all asleep. I walked her to her designated room. It was plain now, but she can add her own touch later. I pet her head and gently smiled, ushering her to her bed. I turned the lights off and walked towards the back of the house where my room was until I saw a light coming from outside. I went out to investigate. The trees swayed lightly and the grass reached up to my calf, making my legs itch. I ducked low and moved slowly towards the dim light. It flickered like a lot candle that casts its own shadow. The closer I got, the more I heard.
“But where is he getting his information from?” I recognized Pira's voice. It was demanding and curious. It held no trust.
“He obviously has sources Pira.” And that's Kidet. His voice was deep, smooth and gentle, but can instantly change to raspy and spiteful.
“But who? Do we even know who-”
“That's enough Pira! You've kept us up long enough.” Demaris's stern voice silenced everyone that was in there. He was the voice of reason every time. “We shouldn't doubt Leader. It would sadden him if he knew we thought lowly of him.” And precious Arthus, the health and gentleness of the organization. There was murmuring for a while until Pira spoke out again. “Fine. I'll go find out myself. Since no one is whole minded enough to ask questions here. The only one I expect not to understand now is the new girl. And even she looked iffy about everything.” A prolonged silence evaded the area. The wind blew harshly, making me cold. As soon as I heard footsteps, I dashed towards the house and climbed up to the roof. The walls were uneven which made it a little less difficult, but it still took a lot out of me to get up there. I was greeted by a figure with its back turned towards me. “He's knowledgeable now,” it said, not even turning to face me. “Well that's a problem. Pretty trifling if you ask me. You're trash.”
“Keep insulting me and I'll call this agreement off.”
“How pathetic. Do your job please?” It sighed and left. I sat there and started at the stars then I saw Pira. Her ability is to create small fires. If they are too large, she could potentially hurt herself. I called out to her and she looked around until finally landing her eyes on me. I ran off the roof and landed on the ground in front of her.
“I have some questions to ask you. What are you hiding from us and what are your other powers, Tanoris?” I looked at her and softly chuckled. “I'm not hiding anything., but come with me. I want to show you something.” We had walked to the garden together, but I went home by myself. Where was Pira? Only the earth knows.
