"I think we should make Vasilly a friend later. At recess!"
Jamie had said.

"A lady friend?"

Jamie shook his head.
"How about a....a boyfriend!"

I stared at him out of disbelief.
A boyfriend?

"What do you mean a "Boyfriend"?"

He shrugged.
"Well, I thought we could try something new! Our mums and dads always talk about us having "lady friends" when we get older. Haven't you always wondered what it would be like to have a boy friend?"

I stopped walking.
Had I?

"Well.....I suppose. Oh well, a boyfriend he shall have!"

Jamie smiled. 
"See I knew you'd agree with me!"

And with that, he linked his arm with mine, skipping and humming "Off To See the Wizard" as we walked the rest of the way to school.
