After 3 months of her labour, Zeng Nong started to abuse her little by little and gradually it became worse. Being depressed over his own failure made him abused his wife over nothing and that's something no one have seen before. 

Although their love was so deep, but it became painful when she started to remember old memories and compared them together. 

Time passed by like wind blow, their son has turned 3 years old already. After his father abused his mother, he always comfort her, but that comfort turned into something else that was driving his mother insane. 

Zeng Nong gave up on finding any more job and drowned himself with alcohol from morning till night then abuse Xiu Ling until he felt satisfied enough to fall asleep right after. Xiu Ling on the other hand had to go to work everyday, going around from house to house and earned little amount of money from cleaning those houses.

By the time Ling Nong turned 7, his mother also gave up from working and drowned herself with alcohol. Right after she found herself run out of alcohol she would from time to time abuse Ling Nong  such as; kicked him or threw things at him, and sometimes she managed to injure him if he didn't dodge fast enough. Just as he got abused by his mother everyday, he also work everyday. He had to wake up at dawn, going around giveaway newspaper as a delivery newspaper kid, he usually got fool easily. In the afternoon until seven to eight at night, he had to work as a seller, who sell second hand things that he bought after getting money from delivered those newspaper in the morning.

Every time he saw other kids playing with their parents. he envied them but eventually he thought to himself that, his parents are sick so no matter how much he envy others, he has to think about his parents health as top priority.

As the only child in his family, he has to think things through even  acted like an adult, and matured at his young age. 

On the day he finally turn 8, Ling Nong didn't get a present nor a ''Happy Birthday'' from either of his parents. Instead, his mother tried to strangle him when he got near her. At that brief moment, her eyes reflected many emotion toward Ling Nong. She was angered, helpless, lonely, and especially sadness. And on that brief moment, Ling Nong stretched out his hand and caressed her cheek in a comfort motion and before he knew it she had let go of his neck and walked out of the messy living room to the bedroom. 

What's the point of working everyday for daily living expense, but intead of getting loved, he got rejected and abused to the point of wanting to die.

However he thought about it, he still wanted his parents affection. That's why he worked hard and hoped one day they will realize his hard work and his love toward them.
