Every day, Rina Arcada had a very simple routine. After sliding out of bed, she would slip to the kitchen, still clad in her nightgown to watch breakfast be created. Some days she would even help the chefs out. However today she was told to stay seated and watch.
Swinging her little legs back and forth, the third princess watched the chefs swing back and forth, conducting what was to her, an amazing orchestra of culinary genius. Every day as she did such, the chefs would smile warmly and share fresh fruits and freshly baked goodies. Rina was just a small ball of sunshine. She might be shy, yet whenever she decided to come out of her shell she burst into calming energy.
All of the staff rather adored her. “Why don't you give your brother some fruits and wake him up?”
Nodding, she held out her hands to grab the small cloth holding some fruits.
Waving towards the chefs, the princess took off, running down the halls. ‘I wonder if brother will have bed hair again?’ Recalling the last time she woke up her brother and saw the mess of his blond locks, she giggled. The idea kept her entertained until she got closer to Fayt’s room and stopped. Hearing the voices, she hid, poking her head around a corner.
“...has requested you join for tea this afternoon…” It was Seb!
So, Iris and Fayt were to have tea later? Maybe she would beat them both there and surprise them! Nodding quickly to herself, she looked back and watched Seb leave.
Now was her chance!
Bolting straight to her brother's room, Rina caught the door before it closed and immediately jumped onto Fayt's back. “Big brother!”
“Ooof,” Fayt stumbled at the sudden weight, trying to catch himself but instead stumbled and fell forward onto his stomach.
“Warn me next time, Rin,” Fayt coughed out before very carefully flipping them both over so he was on his back and she on his stomach.
“But if I warn you it isn't a surprise.” She puffed her cheeks before nuzzling into his chest. “I was right...your bedhead is funny.” She giggled.
“Oh! I brought you some fruit, too.” Lifting herself up, Rina looked for the clothed fruit that dropped when they tumbled and shoved it over.
In return, Fayt warmly smiled while chuckling and accepted his breakfast delivery. “I appreciate this a lot, Rin. I slept late and I have lessons shortly.” He lifted himself up off the floor, lifting the smaller one by her thin waist and setting her back down flat on her feet.
“Make sure you actually remember everything this time,” Rina scolded her brother, who in turn, sent her a soft glare. Turning away from the other, she left as quickly as she entered, leaving her brother to wallow in misery and fruit.

The rest of the morning went by rather fast. Having not much to do, the princess simply explored the castle, checking in on everything and everyone. Aria and Nala were going back and forth about some new fabrics, deciding what they'd be used for. Iris was spending time dealing with letters about trade. Boring things. She even noticed that, out in the garden. Axel and Kai were having a little sword duel. They really couldn't seem to properly decide if they hated each other’s company or not.
The only suspicious thing she did notice was Seb leaving Kai's room. What would he have needed from there? It was slightly suspicious. Though possibly he could have only been grabbing a few herbs to mix along with tea. And speaking of that, wasn't the garden tea time soon? Perhaps she'd follow Seb from behind a short way to join them all.
Yes, perfect!
She followed the butler all the way to the garden where he suddenly stopped and turned around. Confused, she looked up at the butler before seeing the look on his face, backing away and letting out a scream.
Although, unfortunately for her, a large hand was shoved over her mouth, muting her. Quickly, Seb pinched the pressure point on the girl's neck, rendering her unconscious for a short while. Once she fell, he caught her and carefully carried her over to the tea-table he set up and tied her arms together and her legs to the legs of the chair. Wouldn't want this new addition to his plans to run away before the star showed up.
This wasn't at all what he planned and yet...it was a gift. A splendid addition. The butler had no bad feelings towards the young girl but this was her own fault for following him.
As they say, curiosity killed the cat.
