The first thing Eiji Takahashi, a thirty-two-year-old divorced man, noticed after waking up was that his body was aching all over. A crease formed over his forehead, pain and discomfort was showing on his face. Mild shooting pain was coming from his back, something he had no recollection of.
- That’s right. Yesterday, I…
Half opened, his eyes wandered restlessly around the room. Plain white wall with no decor but a single wall clock first came to view. A little to the right, he could see a bookshelf and a desk. Both were empty.
- Thanks God. It’s my room.
Eiji could finally take a deep breath. Knowing he woke up to his own room was a relief so great that his sore body slipped away from attention.
After his decisive confirmation, Eiji turned around. His back laid over the soft futon his tired body always relied on every night. Seconds passed and Eiji’s sleepiness faded away. His awareness became more critical, finally noticing that his bare skin was exposed to the freezing room.
Eiji’s survival sense made his hands willfully grab whatever piece of cloth while he got himself covered and protected from the chilling temperature.
- So warm.
This was heaven for Eiji. He locked his sight on the plain white ceiling while his body rejoiced the comfortable warmth. His mind soon wandered around as freely as the chirping of the birds he could faintly hear from the outside. Soon, his mind reached the haunt of his past.
He remembered that morning. For the first time in his life, he woke up with a woman at his side which wasn’t his wife. He did not understand what was going on and how it even happened. But one thing was for sure. His wife left him because of it.
- It’s been five years. How great will it be if I have a wife next to me?
Eiji closed his eyes and imagined it - long silken hair as dark as midnight and skin so soft and pale the morning clouds would shy away in comparison.
Eiji cuddled the air. It was a foolish imagination, at least that was what he thought of. But as he turned to his side intending to embrace his invisible wife, his hands that should crash against thin air collided with a hard, solid, skin like surface that surely didn’t belong to a woman’s.
- What is this? A dream?
Curiosity ran over Eiji’s mind. His closed eyes resisted opening while his hands moved into a bumpy exploration. If this was a dream, Eiji wanted to see it to the end. His thin and long fingers reached somewhere two soft milk pudding should exist. But as his fingers formed into an indecent gesture, nothing soft, nothing bouncy was there. His hand formed into a light clench while the defeat surprised him.
- Flat chested is fine too.
Eiji convinced himself there was nothing wrong. He was a man of culture, and surely he would love his wife regardless of her bust size.
“Good Morning, Eiji-san.”
- Eh?
A deep, cracking sleepy voice filled his ears. This time, Eiji couldn’t resist anymore and two eyes slowly opened. With a creaking sound, someone’s head slowly turned to him. The first thing he noticed was the face - good looking, small lips and eyes as black as the void. His eyes soon averted to the neck where a small bump existed. Finally, down to where thin black bushes grew… his widening eyes captured a sight of a big limp elephant. Yes, he was…
- A man?
“WAHHHH!!!” Eiji screamed like his life depended on it. His leg acted on its own. With a quick frontal shove, he kicked the man off the bed. A loud thud soon followed together with a deep manly groan.
“Eiji-san, That was so mean!” a stranger soon emerged from the floor. His manly body befell Eiji’s eyes. With every movement, muscles visibly constrict. No amount of denial could save him from the visible truth. This person was a guy.
- Did I do it again… with him?
