Chapter 7

“Well …..that was certainly educational.” Kuroi blinked at him.

Jinx sat there confused, waiting for Kuroi to excuse himself and run away for him.

“I had assumed you would have ran away by now….” He said hesitantly.

“Why would I?”

“I don't know… because I'm weird or something?”

“Well do you not think im weird?” Kuroi smirked at him.

“Yes you are.” Jinx replied with no hesitation.

“Ouch.” Kuroi winced and grinned at him.

Jinx shrugged in response feeling so sense of remorse whatsoever.

“So...I think we should become more acquainted.” Kuroi said suddenly.

“And whys that?” Jinx rolled his eyes at him.

“Why not?”

“Well because I don't remember saying anything about wanting to be acquainted with you?”

“Double ouch.”

Jinx only snorted at his lack of actual pain.

“We are going to be sitting next to each other a lot in our classes, we could easily do a lot of projects together and pool our resources into getting each other good grades.” Kuroi offered.

Mhmmm it's not a bad idea. He did not seem incredibly dumb like a lot of the people in his school. Plus the teachers were afraid of him, they wouldn't fail him in case they ended up feeling his wrath afterwards…….. He might actually be someone he would want on his side after all, Jinx thought.

The majority of the school was afraid of Jinx so they wouldn't bother him about hanging around Kuroi but he hadn’t had any leeway when it came to the teachers. He was still kinda at their mercy, but with Kuroi by his side he could possibly be guaranteed safety from being failed or having something bad being put on his record. In return Jinx could offer him protection from the student body who seemed to be after his ass….. in more ways than one, Jinx thought while shuddering as he remembered the drooling girls.

“Your offer…… I'll take you up on it.” Jinx grinned maliciously.

Kuroi beamed.

“Great! So we should see about hanging out at some point! How about I drag you to my father's work place later today? I have some stuff I need to pick up from there anyway.”

Jinx had forgotten he needed to hang out with him, he didn't really want to but he couldn't say no after agreeing.

He sighed.

“Ok why not?”

It was too quick for Jinx to be sure but a scary smile formed on Kuroi’s face before disappearing and changing into a beaming grin again.

“Alright! I will meet you out front after school later ok?” Kuroi asked as he stood up to leave.

Jinx tapped his bottle on the table again in annoyance.

“.........Ok.” He agreed.
