A few minutes after the events, the train arrived, we got in and drove off to the party. The ride lasted for a felt eternity because many thought were buzzing in my head and one thing was for sure, I still don't have any clue about what happened back there. Many things came to my mind but they seemed far to unrealistic so I tried to ignore them but I also strongly doubt that there is any logical explanation that could explain the incident.
I shook my head and an icy shiver ran down my back. My body became quite stiff at the mere thought of it.
"Hey Shiroto? Shirotooo!", said Yamada and kicked me out of thus thoughts of mine.
"Huh?", I replied.
"Relax a bit, it's just a party. You look like you've seen a ghost or something.", he said and tried to calm me down a bit.
But that's it, a ghost. That's my only possible explanation. It could also have been just a hallucination caused by the stress I felt due to my worries.
"Sorry. It's the first time since I've gone anywhere except to your place, the school or to the supermarket", I told him. I pushed all thoughts aside and tried to relax.
"Everything will be fine. At the moment when we will arrive the worries will fly by, just calm down for now.", he replied and leaned back. Afterwards I closed my eyes.
The party, huh? - I definetly can not fool myself.
I still can't stop thinking about the things that happened back than at the train station.
We arrived and walked to the bus stop and took the next bus. When we arrived at the adress, which was written in the letter, it was just 11:47 PM but the party already started, so we didn't hesitated and went in. It was very loud, so loud that I couldn't even hear my own thoughts properly.
After a while Yamada and I lost ourselves in the crowd. However, I stayed relaxed, sat on a chair in a corner, made myself comfortable and kept repeating the incident in my mind. I still couldn't quite explain it, but I got a certain assumption.
"Hey Shiroto!", said someone with a quite familiar voice. At this moment I were only looking to the ground.
'That was - the voice of....-'
I looked up slowly.
Indeed. It was the girl from before.
Her expression changed from a grin to a serious expression. All of sudden she said a word, in a way that couldn't have been said more creepier:
"Die."
Suddenly all the lights in the house went out. It was pitch-dark and I started to hyperventilate out of panic. Slowly, thanks to the moonlight, you could see something.
What happened before my eyes.. was anything but normal.. Actually, everyone should be able to see or at least hear something.
See - how they were killed by this one man, one after another.
Hear - how the heads of those beheaded by him fell to the ground, making an indescribably miserable noise. However, everyone seemed frozen. Nobody, not one human soul moved.
It seemed like the time has stopped.
I had to get a hold of myself. I pushed quietly through the crowd to find Yamada. After a short time I finally found him and a stone fell from my heart and I thought 'Thanks god'. Every second counts now.
He was fine, but it seemed that he was also affected by the frozen time. How am I able to move around anyway? Does it have something to do with girl the from before? I shook my head and took Yamada, carried him into a wardrobe, hid myself with him there and waited. Waiting for what would happen next. Actually nothing happened for a while, but the feeling to vomit kept on rising.
Why? Of course because of what was going on in front of me, everyone's and really without exceptions everyone's head was chopped off. They are..-no. They all were my friends our acquaintances of mine and yet I did not move, it was as if something was holding me back.
Suddenly this man came just in front of the wardrobe.
'Most likely after he killed everyone here except of us'
He stood there and did not move even for a bit and only looked at the cabinet, but still, I could see murderous intent in his eyes.
No! He actually looked straight in my eyes! I got scared the moment I realized it and at the same moment, he drew his sword.
Without any hesitation, he stuck it in the wardrobe and missed me. I looked at the sword and just realized that he wasn't aiming for me.. I looked over to Yamada, which got stabbed by his sword. I saw the pain in Yamada's eyes, but still, I felt neither sadness nor anger. Even not after seeing how my best friend got killed right before my eyes.
I looked up to the man once again but suddenly he looked, even if only for a moment, no longer like a human, but more like a demon with two horns on the head.
He pulled the sword out of Yamada after he died.
"Ah.. now I'm the next..", I whispered softly to me.
I slowly opened the wardrobes door, stood up and looked into the man's eyes, the murderer, the demon, the beast that killed everyone here.
"So that will be my end..?", I asked myself. I relaxed and he cut so fast that I only briefly felt the blade separating my head from my body.
I couldn't see anything but pure darkness.
"Do you really want to die?", asked a voice suddenly out of nowhere.
"I ask you once more. Do you want to die like that now?", the voice asked me again.
I started to feel a light burning in my chest. In front of my eyes, still only pure darkness.
"You..you are the girl from before...right?", I asked with great difficulty. It was very hard for me to bring out even one word.
"Hmmm you have recognized me by my voice, that makes me happy, then I can also show myself.", she replied.
Suddenly, in the dark, I could see the child shining brightly.
"So Shiroto.
Do you just want to die like that?
Do not you want to take revenge, not even after your best friend and even you were killed by a demon of Asukamia's? ", she asked.
"I..-", my heart started to beat faster due anger so hard that I started to hear it.
"I- I want to kill this bastard !!", I screamed out of rage.
The girl started to grin and said to me in a mocking voice:
"But you are dead. Anyway what could you possibly do if I would revive you and just for you to know- reviving - is something I, even as a demon, can't do. I just looked at her with a hateful, but disappointed look at the same time.
"But!", she said, "I can sent you to another world, to be more specific as to where this demon lives.
Into the world called Asukamia."
"I-!", I wanted to say something but I remained silent, calmed down and realized how helpless I felt.
"I can not do anything, even if you say so I would just die again.
What's the point?
He is a demon and I- "
She interrupted:
"If that's what you think, I have to disappoint you. Thanks to me you are a half-demon!
Well, I'm actually a demon that is not a demon if you can say it like that. I hid in your body when you were little.
How so?
Well, lest the other demons find me
because I fled from them, since I betrayed them. "
"So you want to tell me I'm not human anymore?", I asked with a serious expression.
"You have not been one from your birth on. What is so bad about that?
You are still and will remain as the same Shiroto. Nothing has changed about you, apart from the fact that you now know that you are not human or that you have never been. ", she replied.
"I can not quite handle it yet, but I'll be fine soon, so please give me some time, by the way, I have one more question.
Why did the demon appear?
How did he get in our world?
With a portal?
Are there several cases like these that happen in the world without us noticing? ", I asked her.
"Do you remember our first meeting at the station? Where I said you should take care of your further actions ", she suddenly stopped.
I looked at her and asked confused:
"What's up?"
I have to bring us to Asukamia, otherwise you will die for good and I will be part of it! ", she said hastily.
Everything suddenly became bright, so bright that I could not see anything.
