At first glance, she appeared to be a happy twelve-year-old girl with long curly red hair, decorated by white daisies, small freckles on her cheeks, and bright yellow eyes. She always wore summer patterned dresses that hugged around her body and on her feet were brown boots tied with black laces. She had manners that would make any mother or father proud in the city and spoke in the softest voice. She was known for hanging around the old southern building, located in the Harlem District, with the rest of the kids her age. Yet, she never went to school.
She was always around them.
