Eli looked around hesitantly as he stepped into the clearing, the early morning dew coating the lower fur around his hooves. He crept through the wet grass until finding a nice sunny that caught the rays of the sunrise perfectly.
His green eyes closed as he sat down and pulled his legs to his side so he could relax and wait for Liam in the warmth of the morning light. He hummed softly to himself and ran his slender fingers through his bed head that stuck up in random directions.
After a short wait, the silence was broken by a soft sigh and the sound of twigs and leaves being crushed beneath powerful paws. "Eli."
Eli's ears perked up and flicked towards the sound, his eyes quickly met the wolf's. "Liam... hi" He smiled softly, happiness bubbling within him at the sight of Liam walking through the brush towards him. "I was so worried you wouldn't make it..."
Liam stared hesitantly at him with a small smile "Of course I came, Eli..." He said as he slowly sat down across from Eli and crossed his legs. "I missed you too much to not come..." He flopped onto his back with a sigh.
The fluffy golden locks of hair laid spread against the ground, and Liam's tail slowly swept from side to side in the grass. "Liam?" Eli's soft voice cut in as he scooted over and hovered over Liam's face.
His right eye opened and his ears perked up. "Hm?"
"You're really handsome..." Eli's small deer ears perked up and he tilted his head to the right and smiled "You probably know that though- I just..." Liam didn't interrupt and simply raised an eyebrow, letting Eli continue to speak "I... couldn't stop thinking about you last night..."
Liam's eyes widened and a light blush formed on his face. He searched Eli's expression, finding embarrassment and overall shyness. After another second of hesitation, he smiled in response "I was thinking about you too, Eli..." He placed a gentle hand on Eli's back, his claws grazing his lightly wounded skin.
Eli's green eyes focused on Liam's face as his soft eyes traced Eli's body all the way up until their eyes met again "Uh..." Eli hesitated to speak as Liam gently pulled the deer's body down onto his own, their bare chests touching. Eli's legs were sprawled out against the ground as he stared into Liam's eyes.
"Eli..." Liam said softly with a grin. There was something about the deer... something so perfect that he couldn't understand. He wanted to keep him close, and never let anyone else ever touch him. His other hand reached around, grabbing Eli by the rear and pulling him onto his lap.
Despite the gasp from Eli he simply stared down at Liam in confusion "Liam are you okay?" They simply stared at each other for a second before Liam pulled Eli into a hug.
"Let's just stay like this for a bit... Just you and me..." He said with a soft huff, closing his eyes and listening to Eli's breathing.
