Chapter 8

Jinx spun around in his desk chair, it was last hour and he had been watching the clock anxiously. He was in his computer class and had finished his project early which left him with nothing to do.

He checked the clock and to his dismay it seemed to be moving even faster than before.

It upset him that the clock seemed to move faster when he didn't want it to.

Jinx checked his phone looking for something to watch online, he had just gotten into a game playthrough when the bell rang and startled him.

Jinx watched as his classmates filed out of the classroom with obvious joy, he left as well with obvious dread instead though.

Kuroi met him outside and attempted to grab his arm.

Of course once he had a hold of Jinx he spun around in a circle, disorienting Kuroi and put his foot on his chest. He pushed him down holding his forearm with his foot still on him.

With Kuroi about 4 inches away from the concrete Jinx lazily took a swig from another Mt. Dew he had splurged on.

“I should mention don't randomly touch me without my permission.”

“Noted.” Kuroi grunted from the exertion it took to keep his legs from giving out.

Jinx pulled him back up, their bodies almost were pressed to each other and Jinx saw Kuroi’s pupils widen as he looked at his face.

“Your pupils have dilated but you have not experienced a change in light setting. You may want to get that looked at. From what I know dilated pupils only mean a few things….”

“W-what things?” Kuroi huffed out.

“Stress, sickness, arousal, love, experiencing fight or flight responses, and change in light in your environment…. I suppose spinning you around and locking your body into that position may have triggered a flight or flight response...I suppose I should apologize for startling you?”

Although it was his fault for touching me, Jinx thought.

Kuroi suddenly chuckled and Jinx blinked at him.

“...Sure fight or flight response. We can go with that.”

Jinx blinked at him again, feeling even more confused.

Ah, he had forgotten Kuroi may be attracted to him…. So it may have been arousal?

What man gets aroused from being incapacitated like that Jinx didn't know.

Jinx took another swig and let go of Kuroi’s arm.

“Please tell me we are not taking that limo from this morning?”

“Uh…. I can get us a different one?”

Jinx sighed.

“There's this thing called having 2 legs and they can get you places you know that right?” Jinx grumbled.

“Do you want to walk three miles or get a ride in a limo?” Kuroi asked and laughed expecting him to say the limo.

“The three miles.” Three miles was nothing to him.

“.....Ok let me rephrase that, did you want to walk 3 miles with me?”

“...............LIMO IT IS!” Jinx growled.

Kuroi smiled but his eyes were a bit hurt.
