"Childhood", it was supposed to be a happy and memorable period for kids. At least for most of the kids. However, it wasn't the case for a child called, Yatogami King(7 years old). King, a student of The Seven Heavenly City Academy which is famous for nurturing powerful and reputable martial artist or should it be called "strong fighter". The Seven Heavenly City Academy wasn't open to anyone to enroll. Only selected few who passed the entrance examination will be granted the opportunity to train and sharpen their "gifted" trait in controlling energy and converting into various attacks depending on the person's talent. It also a place for the student to learn military arts which give them the knowledge of managing an army.

The reason behind The Seven Heavenly City Academy being so important was the mainland was plagued with warlords waging wars on one another. The destruction brought by war ravages the land and many innocent people lost their home, money and even their loved one. It was truly an unfortunate event for the people and yet it was beyond recover as the warlords defy the order of the young and weak emperor to make peace with each other. In order to gain the upper hand of the situation, the warlords tend to invite the graduand to help them in terms of military, politically and economically. The Seven Heavenly City Academy maintained their neutral policy which didn't side any party thus creating more and more students took it as an opportunity to gain wealth if they ever get to request by any warlord to aid their factions.

As for Yatogami King, he enrolled in the academy with only one purpose, revenge on the traitor who caused the tragedy onto his family. Every night, he was woken up by the nightmare as he witnessed his family been killed one by one right of him and he only could helplessly witness it happened. Tonight wasn't spared either, King once again struggling as he grabs the bedsheet with of his hands and fidgeting on his bed as he dreamt of his family tragedy. As he was woken up by his nightmare, his sweat drenches his clothing and breathing heavily. He stood up and walked towards the balcony and stared into the beautiful full moon night and he missed his parents. He then begins to have the flashback of how his parents met which was told by his mother, Maime.

It was Day 21 Autumn of Year 327 (10 years before King was enrolled to The Seven Heavenly City Academy). Yatogami Kertel, father of King was visiting Teryani Village. As an exiled prince, Kertel was very cautious with his movement and interaction with anyone. However, his dream was to educate children who cannot afford any sort of education and that was his reason why he came to Teryani Village. Although Teryani Village was a trading post between factions, it was considered as a poor village as it will be the first affected when war broke out. The people in that village either choose to be hard labor which helped in building tavern or houses or choose to be a farmer. As for the woman, either they were housewives which do some sewing clothing or become a dancer in the Pub Inn( A hybrid of brothel and pub but is for rich people). Kertel was hired by the Village Chief to teach the children in the village to read and write in hope to secure a better future for them. As a reward, Kertel was granted free access to anywhere in the village. 3 days after he arrived at the village, he was taking a night stroll around the village and he witnessed an outrageous modesty act took place on the public. A rich trading-traveler tried to force himself onto a lady which the lady didn't give any consent. Kertel was disgusted by the act and went to stop his outrageous behavior by advising him.

However, his advise fell on deaf ear as the trading-traveler turned violent and attack Kertel. Although Kertel wasn't as strong as a real fighter, he was well versed in self-defense martial art. He managed to dodge and land a punch on the trading-traveler which anger him further. The trading-traveler then pulled out his short knife and charge at Kertel in the attempt to hurt him. Once again, his effort went to the drain as Kertel managed to trip him and he fell to the floor. The bystander who witnessed the incident laughed at the trading-traveler. Feeling embarrassed, he switches his target to the lady and tried to slice her face to disfigure her look. His sudden turn of aggressive shocked the lady and Kertel. Without further thinking, Kertel uses his body as a meat shield and protect the lady from the stab. The knife stabs into the back of Kertel and he dropped to his knees. Seeing the situation went south, the trading-traveler ran away. Kertel was bleeding and lost his conscious in the lady's arms.

When Kertel regained his conscious, he found himself in a total stranger room and bandages wrapped around his upper body to secure the right arm from not moving too much. He tried to get out of the bed and the pain from his wound was causing his movement to be limited. He tried to wear his shoes which were just right beside the bed and a woman enter the room made him stop his action. The woman was concern about his wound and told him to stay put and not to do any exerting movement that might make wound open up again. Kertel was curious and confused about the identity of the woman as he keeps staring at her.

Lady: " Sorry for my late introduction. My name is Maime, a sewist."

(Her smile and her voice was sweet which causes Kertel's heart to be throbbing)

Kertel: " N-nice to meet you. I am Kertel, a teacher hired by the Village Chief to educate the children."

(He was stunned by the beauty of Maime and almost lost his sense of reasoning)

Maime: " Thank you for saving me last night. Without you, I probably will be disfigured and I couldn't face anyone."

(She held Kertel's hands and gazed into his eyes as she thanked him)

After a little chit chat, Maime gets up and left the room to get the porridge she cooks to serve Kertel. However, her action of standing up and swinging her hair made Kertel's heartbeat to be even faster. The fragrance of the hair and the well-developed slim figure will drive any man crazy. Although Kertel was bewitched by Maime's exotic appearance, he remained his composure as a gentleman for not jumping on a fragile woman. Maime returns with the porridge and intend to feed Kertel as he shouldn't be moving his right arm to prevent his wound from opening up again. As Maime slowly blows the porridge, Kertel once again amazed and captured by the kind nature of Maime. Before he could realize, he falls deeply in love with Maime.

While chattering, two young girls broke the atmosphere by calling out "Onee-chan where are you?" "I am hungry".

Two young girls entered the room and were approached by Maime. She squatted down and patting their head and ensure she will prepare their meal immediately. Maime introduced both of her younger sister, Mina, and Mana before she left the room. Out of curiosity, Kertel started talking to them. At first his sudden approached caused some anxiety within them but they slowly opened up to Kertel after he ensured them that he meant no harm and he was a friend of their sister.

After some chattering, Kertel found out that Maime was the sole breadwinner of her family. Her father went missing in the mining excavation a few years ago and her mum passed away due to labor difficulty of her twin younger sisters. Although they were poor, Mina and Mana were happy as long as their sister is with them. Upon seeing their situation, Kertel developed a thought, an urge to protect and help Maime. Since then, Kertel visited Maime every day whenever he was free and he taught Mina and Mana how to write and read. He even helped out in building a better and comfy house for them.

As days go by, Maime and Kertel fall in love with each other and they begin to date. Kertel was contented with his life and intend to settle down. However, when he proposed to Maime, he was stunned as he was rejected by Maime with the reason "she wasn't ready". Although it hurts him, Kertel put his proposal on hold and continue their relationship as her boyfriend.

At the Day 26 Winter of Year 327, Kertel was invited by the Village Chief to one of the Pub Inn as a reward for him educating the children in the village. Although Kertel dislikes the atmosphere of being surrounded by "paid woman", he couldn't reject the goodwill offer of the village chief. Just when he was about to leave, a voice caught his attention. He took a look to the stage and he saw the woman standing in the middle of the stage in erotic dressings was Maime.

Everyone at the spectating seats begin to raise the atmosphere by throwing gold coins onto the stage in hoping to reach the milestone so the performer will remove her clothing one by one. Due to Maime's exotic appearance, milestone after the milestone was being broke and she was only a single inner shirt away before exposing herself with lingerie to the public. Everyone was more engrossed by trying to strip her than listen to her lovely voice performing the song. Although Maime seems to be in a little distraught as she was overwhelmed by the crowd, she continued her performance. However, she was stunned when she saw Kertel was watching all these happened from a corner. Maime was embarrassed and ran to the backstage to get dress up.

After exiting the Pub Inn, she immediately heads home but Kertel was already waiting for her at her home. She didn't have the courage to face Kertel and tried to run away but was caught by Kertel. He hugged her from the back and Maime tried to break free but to no avail. Maime begins to broke into tears as she was embarrassed and fear at the same time that she will lose Kertel, her only true love she ever had. Her hands were visibly shaking. She begins to open up to the reason behind she worked as an accompanist. As a sewist, she barely enough to feed her twin younger sister in the current situation. In order to provide them a better life and to keep her promise to her mother. Out of options, she became an accompanist. She thought with her voice, she could earn more money while not overstepping the moral ethics of betraying her own body. However, the people who visited that place only with 1 purpose which is to find a "company" for the night. She wanted to leave multiple times but the payout was too lucrative for her to reject and she continues to work there. However, that was before she met Kertel. After falling in love with Kertel, she was thinking of quitting the place after she saved up enough money to buy a proper house and she was a few performances away from it. Although she hates it, she bites her teeth and endures through the humiliating performance on the stage at the Pub Inn.

Finished her explanation, Maime offered to break up and end her relationship with Kertel. However, her offer fell on deaf ears. Instead of being dissed by Kertel, Kertel hugs Maime even harder and told her to stop telling her story.

Kertel: "Enough already. I don't care what you did to earn a living. You don't need to be embarrassed. I didn't hate you for your job. Not even slightest."

(Kertel told Maime in an affirmed tone)

Maime was surprised by Kertel's words but she still blames herself for such disgusting act.

Kertel: "You don't need to care what the world thinks about you. You only need to care about how I looked at you."

(Kertel slowly let go of the hug and turn Maime to face him)

Kertel: "I accept you as who you are. You are the best in my eye. Nobody will ever replace you. And the most important thing is that I LOVE YOU!"

(As the 3 words left Kertel's mouth, it send Maime broke down in joyous tears)

They leaned towards each other and kissed. Kertel brought Maime into the room and they spent their fruitful night together. After that day, Maime stops working at the Pub Inn and she focuses working as a sewist and taking care of her twin younger sister. As for Kertel, he found a life goal he wanted to strive for which was ensuring his family a happy life. In the daytime, he worked as a teacher and teaches the children how to write and read and during his free time, he worked as a miner to increase his revenue to support his family. The situation continue for 2 months and their simple happy life come to an end.

A group of soldier rushed into their house and demanded to speak to Kertel. Out of fear, Maime stands right in front of Mina and Mana to protect them if the soldiers tried to do any funny act on them. Kertel did show up and talked to the person in charge. However, Maime was stunned when she heard the soldier called Kertel "My lord". She came to a realization that Kertel was an exiled prince and now he has been recalled back to succeed the throne of the faction. At first, Kertel wanted to bring Maime's family along with him back to the palace but was stopped by the soldier as he was told that the palace was in chaotic state and it will only endanger Maime and her family if she was brought to the palace. Out of safety consideration, Kertel told Maime to wait for him as he will return to pick them up once the political situation was stabilized. Soon after that, Kertel departed to the palace and Maime was left alone with her twin younger sister depending on each other.

However, her tragic story only just begun. The very same trading-traveller came back and caught Maime after the day Kertel left for the palace. This time he managed to force himself onto Maime and nobody was there to stop him. She cried and plead him to stop but it was useless. Thrust after thrust, hour after hour, the trading-traveller finally left a humiliated Maime in a rundown hut crying in embarrassment. She was traumatized by the incident but she toughs it up and acts as if nothing had happened and continue her daily routine.

As the tragedy continues, she was distraught after she was diagnosed that she was pregnant for 2 months.
