I yawned having a little stretch I nuzzled my head close to the pillow slowly opening my eyes seeing rafe stood having just come on my bedroom door just getting his shoes and coat off

"Hello" I smile

"Ohhh, hello I didn't know you where still in bed" he smiles coming and sitting on the edge of the bed with me giving my head a little stroke "have you been in bed all day?" He asks and I nod

"I've been so tried" I yawned

"Awww y/n, you should get out of bed you'll just get more sleepy the longer you stay in bed," he tells me as he got up starting to get undressed enough to be comfy "have you eaten?" He asks

"Umm some soup that Johanna brought me up at lunchtime" I answer

"Did you eat it?" He asks

"Most of it, my tummy hurts today" I answer

"Ohh poor girl" he smiles giving my tummy a little kiss as he climbed into bed with me "what sort of tummy ache?" He asks

"I don't know I think it's just baby being funny," I tell him resting my head on his stomach he smiled holding me close to him "Ohh rafe! it's kicking!" I giggle sitting up and he happily held my tummy

"Awww babies doing okay today?" he asks getting sorted and tucked up in bed with me and I nod "Are you doing okay today?" he asks me

"Just my tummy ache" I sigh

"umm maybe babies coming soon" he smiles giving my lips a soft kiss

"maybe, or maybe babies just happy daddies home at last" I smile

"Is that your complicated way of telling me you missed me?" He asks

"Well you have been gone a long time" I complain

"It was two days My sweet" He laughs

"two days is a long time with a baby in your belly" I smile stroking his hair "Without the man you love to cuddle you goodnight or give baby kisses" I complain

"awww, you did miss me" he laughs giving my head a kiss "Well I'm here now my little flower, Your father has promised me no business for a few days. he wants me at home with his daughter keep her company" he explained cuddling me closely in my bed "Till baby comes" he says starting to relax in bed "come on I have missed your kisses" he smiles so I sat up and kissed him softly he happily kissed me back

"come on bedtime" I tell him

"Ummm finally, feels like forever I got to go to bed with you" he smirks

"ohh shut up you silly boy" I giggle.

Rafe's Pov:

I sighed as I heard a banging on the front door downstairs,

"Ugh!" I complain as it woke me so I sighed gently moving y/n's hand away from me gently putting her around the pillow so I wouldn't wake her and I lit a candle hurried downstairs with the others a man was here summoning Cromwell to see the king so I ran upstairs to get some real clothes on ohh but I don't want to just leave her without a word, rushing off to god knows where for go knows what without even telling her, but I don't want to wake her, so I woke her a note

"I'm so sorry y/n My love, the King has sent for your father so I must go. I promise I will do my best to return home before the day is out, Sleep well my love Look after our little one"

sitting it on the bedside table and giving her a soft little kiss making her smile even in her sleep.

we stood and waited for him to return from his audience with the king, and we saw him coming back

"so?" Gregory asked

"It was a dream" he says

"A dream?" I ask "They got us all out of bed for a dream?" I ask "You dragged me out of bed with my pregnant wife for a dream?" I complain

"I didn't the king did rafe, and you got an issue then you go up and complain at him" he laughs

"I might" I sigh as we began to rush back home. But when I turned to the staircase to go back up to bed Johanna stood on the stairs looking at me gravely "What's the matter?" I ask "Is something wrong?" I ask and she looked in tears "What is it what's wrong?" I ask her "tell me please" I ask her

"well sir- well- well it-" she stuttered

"spit it out Johanna!" her father ordered

"Miss Y/n Sadler... she, she woke while you where gone she said her stomach was really upsetting her she read your note and was waiting for you to come back... and her stomach she- she went into labour" she explained

"Into labour!" I ask in shock "Where is she? is she okay? what happened? Please god tell me she's alright" I ask in panic and she was almost crying

"It- I-" she began

"What! please tell me?" I ask so scared of what has happened to her

"It's a boy" she says

"A- A boy?" I ask in shock

"A boy, and a girl" she smiles

"And a girl?!" I ask very excited

"Two? Twins!" her father asks

"she's upstairs, with the children," she says I bolted upstairs to our room she was sat on the bed looking very tried

"Ohhh my sweet beautiful flower I'm so sorry, of course, it comes the one night I'm not here with you I'm sorry so sorry I missed it I should have been-" I began but she kissed me

"shut up" she smiles as she pulled away

"are you okay?" I ask her

"it hurt unsurprisingly" she giggled

"I can imagine so" I laugh

"Mostly when I heard a cry and thought I was all done, then Johanna said I had to keep going" she complains

"I bet it was my darling" I laugh "where are they?" I ask

"The crib" she smiles "bring them both I want to cuddle them too" she smiles so I got comfy slipping off my coat and going to the little crib in the patterned wood laid two perfect little babies their eyes hardly open at all one wrapped in a soft white shirt the other in a light yellow one, I gently picked up the little one and took it to her gently setting it in her arms

"who's this?" I ask her

"This is harry" she smiles giving his head a kiss

"Harry," I smile playing with his little fingers

"Your first Born son" she smiles

"He is amazing" I smile almost crying to see our son

"Come on, bring her too" she smiled so I laughed getting up picking up the other little baby and sitting on our bed cradling her soft little body

"what's her name?" I ask her

"I didn't decide, we picked harry ages ago, I wanted to wait for you" she smiles "So you could choose" she giggled

"... Lillian" I smile

"Lillian, I like it" she smiles "Harry and Lillian Sadler" she smiles

"I don't think I have ever been more in love with you then I am now y/n, humm you were my secret, my little hidden consort in the dark stable corners. Then my precious little promise to be mine as soon as time could allow. Then, at last, my beautiful wife all I've ever wanted since the first day that I saw you" I explain

"Now?" she asks

"Now... The woman I love with all my heart. My perfect wife, the Mother of our children." I smile giving her a kiss and holding our little children.
