The sounds of explosion ring in the tavern, as magical bolts, fly back and forth. Dismembered bodies are strewn all across the floor and jagged rocked columns appear from the ground impaling many of these bodies.

Boborygos is surrounded by floating rocks blocking the attacks from 3 different attackers who are pelting him with a barrage of magical attacks. You dart towards the transformed barkeep attempting to get him to tell you more about Forfin but between him and you are 10 more hooded figures that have recently risen up making your advance a rather arduous process.

Utilizing your newfound powers, you channel a blood spear out from one of your exposed leylines on your hand, materialising each time you strike an assailant. One by one you make your way through the encompassing horde. As you slowly make your progress, the transfigured barkeep smiles as he conjures an ethereal spirit from the Void.

“He knows Kalimdri Arts, he is from beyond the barrier” Boborygos shouts out.

Kalimdri is one of the many tribes of shamans located outside the borders of Dwendil, and each shamanic tribe has their own special traits, Kalimdri specialises in calling forth Void Beasts, which are impervious to physical attacks and can only be killed with spiritual magic.

You fling two of your Blood Spears at the summoned beasts, the Void Beast flinches but bears no significant damage. The Void Beast lumbers before setting his sights on you charging while ravaging the hooded figures standing in front of its way. A feeling of dread creeps up on you as you realise you would have to find a way of dealing with this magical being.

“Let me take care of the Void Beast, go get the barkeep, he speaks about Forfin as if he knows him, Forfin might be in danger” Zelinas bellows, as she casts levitation magic onto you allowing you to leap a distance towards the barkeep.

The horned figure then sets his eyes on you as he unsheaths a glimmering sword.

“First Void Beasts, now enchanted weaponry, how many tricks does this guy have,” you ask yourself.

Slipping in between the ruins of the bar, you accumulate a Blood Well from the fallen hooded followers nearby you creating a sphere of condensed blood. The sphere channels huge amounts of blood to your leylines as you create protruding spikes against the horned figure.

He slashes away at the Blood Spikes, but the attacks relentlessly continue until one of the spikes stabs him right into the abdomen. Immediately, you engage your control on his body keeping him in place.

At the exact moment the spike hit the horned figure, the remaining hooded followers vanished into dust, almost as if they had not existed.

“These are no ordinary illusions, they have physical bodies and will to act, that man is no ordinary Kalimdri, in fact, I have never seen such feats in all my years of battle” mentioned Boborygos.

“That’s because he is not Kalimdri” a voice is heard from the upper levels”

A stout bearded man appears on the upper corridors looking down at the carnage below. He wields a large hammer with runic inscriptions embedded upon it. He has an aura of astuteness and solidarity.

The three of you look up

“FORFINN!!”
