Fiona Evermore ( Carina's mother. twenty five years ago flashback)

My throat sore from all the screaming, weak and helpless, I lay on the ground unable to move. I could only manage to watch my child from a distance. The demon king took my daughter from his son's arms and walked towards me. Out of instincts I immediately reached out to her, only for him to pull her back.

" I never lied Fiona, I said I will never hurt you or your daughter, and I intend to keep my word. but I do however think we can be of help to one another. Like I said earlier. Your daughter has a huge role, to play in my son's future. But if you refuse to hear me out, I can always just open a portal and send you and your new cellmate back home! Am sure your neighbors miss you a lot "

He then proceeded to show me, just how sincere he was in his words, by opening a portal and dangling my newborn daughter in it.

"NO! GIVE HER BACK!" I begged him again, he flicked his thumb and the portal was closed. He walked back, and placed her in the circle, as his son lay next to her in the circle. He pulled out an Athame. I gasped and watched as he held the Athame above her, he suddenly slit her small wrist and let her blood flow in the circle, next to his son. I watched as their blood mingled and Intertwined together. His son rolled over and brought his wrist to my daughter's lips, letting his blood drip into her mouth. He then proceeded to do the same with her, he brought her wrist over his mouth, and let her blood flow into his mouth.

I watched as the magic circle glowed red and the audience cheered. They congratulated his son, patting him on the shoulder, some even bending the knee and bowing down to my daughter, who was still screeching, only wrapped in a white blanket. I yearned to hold her, even for a second. I just wanted to hold my baby.

" W-what have you done to my daughter? " I asked shaking, and staring at the scene before me with incredulity.

The demon king walked towards me and squatted next to me. He slit his wrist with the athame he was carrying, held his wrist up to my face and forcefully placed over my lips. The taste of the metallic blood filled my mouth, as the unbearable pain from everything I have been through the past months washed away.

He stood up and lifted me to my feet, he placed his hand over his face. Straightaway I could see the transformation happening before my eyes. His face was no longer undead skeleton. He actually had a face, and he was handsome, to say the least. His skin was no longer red, instead, he looked rather very humanoid. He smiled, which was strange. I immediately raced towards my daughter and picked her up from the circle. I felt a brush on my shoulder. I looked up and saw him smiling down at us. I cautiously held her close to my chest.

"No need to look so frighted Fiona. what happened here tonight calls for a celebration. After all, nothing says we are a family than blood-bonding ritual." he said cheerfully displaying two cute dimples.

"Family? " I repeated after him. Looking around confused and weary.

" Yes, family Fiona. You see, my son is very different and he needs a special kind of bride to call a mate, That's where you come in to play your role. You are the first born daughter, of a first generation witch and your daughter is also you're first born. Do you know what that means Fiona? It means your daughter can be very compatible with my son. and depending on how well the blood-bonding ritual went I'd say Family is the right word to use right about now."

Horrified by what I was hearing I gasped and stepped away from him. "You blood-bonded my daughter to your son but why? she's a newborn baby" I asked confused, instead he just smiled at me, and confidently said

"She won't a newborn baby for much longer, I assure you. My son is a patient man, and he will wait until she's of age. Until then you are welcome to raise the child here or place her somewhere safe. preferably without you around."

I stared down at her and realized he was right. This was the only way out, or we'd both would have perished long ago in the purgatory. I couldn't raise her, I had to leave her with my mother. If he blood-bonded my daughter to his son, then the only way for her to have a normal life would be to leave her and keep my distance from her.

I looked back at him and noticed he was still waiting for an answer. I nodded absent-mindedly, that was when I saw the bright green light coming from within the ground. It was so bright it light up the whole land. The strangers who were present for the ritual all started to look around. Confused, and mumbling incoherently, they started pointing at the light. Scared i held her close to my chest. I looked up the demon king for confirmation.

" What's happening? I thought the ritual was over" I asked scared and confused out of my mind. He looked back at me, confused as I was. " The ritual is over!" he said and walked away looking disturbed. suddenly in that exact moment, as the green light got brighter and warmer. The ground started shaking, as beautiful floral trees started erupting from the ground like a hot volcano growing fast and tall.

Followed by dozens of exotic unique flowers sprouting from the ground. It was like a meadow of flowers. Flower petals raining down everywhere, glowing butterflies spread their wings and took off into the sky, like they existed here their whole lives. The sudden growth of the flowers, trees, and grass caused so much commotion, as the people stared mesmerized. Each one of them plucking the flowers from the ground, like a child.

It was like the land was coming to life for the first time. Beautiful cherry blooms, that glowed under the huge glowing moon. Each flower giving away a beautiful unique glow. It was like a fantasy magical meadow field, with every flower in the world. Even I had to admit, what was happening was miraculous. I looked down at her and noticed her eyes glowing green. it was her I thought, she's doing this. I looked up and noticed the demon king and his son both also came to that same conclusion.

" Flowers, they are flowers, and trees growing everywhere. How is this happening?'' asked one of the audience holding a peach-colored rose in his hand. He inhaled the rose and exhaled with a smile on his face. Just then the silver-haired- man, whose name I had yet to learn walked over to him with a proud smile on his declared,

" My future bride shared her magic with us. Letting life and beauty come back to our barren island. we are no longer the undead, on the dead lands. with our queen and her magic we will rise out of the darkness, and into the sun. " He declared proudly, a huge smile on his face.

The small crowd our light incident gathered. Cheered loudly, hugging and jumping around with excitement. He walked over to me and tried taking her out of my arms, instead, I wouldn't let go and suddenly I remembered the deal and let her go hesitatingly. The demon king walked over to me and placed what I assumed to be a cloak around me and said

" Welcome to the family Fiona Evermore. You can call me Zailak. "
