"It was supposed to be fine."
As his arm was bleeding Hyuron repeated this sentence. He had lost the feeling in his right arm long ago, when it was replaced by artificial limb. Sometimes, like this, he would forget that his left arm is real. He defended instinctively. Came really close to the end. Another artificial thing to be replaced. Past isn't easy place to find it. He knew that. Still, he risked it all.
"All agents, stand down. The subject is down."
"No... I am not." silently said Hyuron. He knew that voice. Soft, yet commanding. Sweet, yet disturbing. He knew it was Sarah.
As he was standing on his knees, his left arm covered in blood, an agent came close. Midnight was close, but artificial Moon had enlightened the woods where they all fought. He could clearly see her short face, her brown eyes and short blonde hair.
"It's over darling." she said as she squatted down in front of him. "There is no more places to hide, no more time to be in this world for you."
"No..."
"On the contrary. Agents have done the surveilance. We found your little stash of time gems. As we saw, you were planning to go to the past."
He grunted. His arm was hurting bad. He felt like few strings are keeping his limb from falling appart.
"Oh, I see." she said, "It's your real arm this time."
"Even in plain sight..." he said and gasped. "... you can't see sh*t."
"Excuse me?"
"Plain sight... Darling..." he said and started to smile.
"Plain sight? Look at you Reikho! You are surrounded. It is, and I mean it, over."
"Over?" he said while his bloodied smile was illuminated by the moonlight. "Nothing is over darling, it all goes around."
Something clanked in his artificial arm. She heard it clearly, and stood up fast.
"Get out of here! All of you! Teleport! Evaporate! RUN!"
Hyuron's artificial arm became bright, brighter than the light of thousand suns, enlightning whole area.
"And now" he said, still smiling, "ka-boom".
