The honking and the high beams of a vehicle took me by surprise when I went out into the street. A force pulled me by the neck and two strong arms wrapped around me. Shocked by everything that had just happened, I only managed to blink endlessly.
Ludwig had protected me from a possible traffic accident. I felt his warmth and melted in his arms. I could stay like this forever! Suddenly, his touch disappeared and I felt his hands on my shoulders. He looked exasperated, almost like a father who is about to scold his son.
"What were you thinking?!" He berated me loudly with a disapproving grimace. I had never seen him frowning and clenching his jaw. But his eyes remained gentle. "I thought I had lost you!"
I stood there in silence, letting the guilt eat me up. I wasn't paying attention to the traffic light. It was stupid of me to do so. I didn't mean to be pesky! Ludwig stopped squeezing me and let out a sigh, a very relieved one.
"Be more careful," he begged calmly. "Are you alright?"
"I didn't die tonight, did I?"
He narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms on his chest.
"Too soon huh... Sorry."
"Come," he said and offered me his hand. "Let's go to my room."
When I heard him say that and as soon as he began to guide me back to the hotel with one of his arms around my waist, I couldn't stop the way my thoughts trailed off into a naughty fantasy. Would we be doing that? Tonight? If I had known, I'd have shaved my bush! I wasn't ready for that sort of encounter. I'd have agreed to it on our fifth date or some time a little further.
Determined, I didn't budge and refused to move. Ludwig turned to me, a little curious about my sudden behavior and approached me, backing up to where I was.
"Is something the matter? Do you feel dizzy?"
Don't lie to me, you handsome devil! Surely, Ludwig simply wanted to get in my pants and he was just playing it off by acting like a total gentleman. But if I ever dared to distract myself, he could come behind and... Bam! My ass would pay the price of his brutality. I pushed him away.
"Dear guest, I'm not that kind of guy," I stammered indignantly, beginning to blush. "I may work at a hotel, but that doesn't mean I have the same disposition. I come from a conservative family and we have very traditional customs! I was well-brought-up and was taught to wait until marriage for that to happen, sir."
Ludwig just looked at me perplexed. Several seconds passed until he burst out laughing. He put his hands to his stomach and tried to calm down.
"What's so funny?!" I demanded with a more passionate crimson all over my face to the tip of my ears.
"What are you thinking?" He added with a funny expression, raising one of his fine eyebrows. "I just wanted to offer you a cup of tea. Your parents won't hunt me down for it, right?"
"Exactly!" I replied, embarrassed. "I like premium jasmine tea, not the conventional type. I... I never said we were going to have sex! I mean, at least after the fifth date." I covered my mouth with both hands and let my soul vanish.
His pupils dilated at my last comment.
"You're way too sweet," he said dreamily, patting my head. "I didn't know this was a date."
Kill me, kill me, kill me!
