Kuro stepped back and found his hand on one of the spiraled columns that surrounded the circular alter and statues.
"This place it looks so familiar to me.." Said Kuro.
"Familiar? I don't see how that's possible as you've never been here before and I've never showed anyone this place before, you're the first one" Said Jiro.
"This place is very special and only few people know of it, it's Blackstone, the place where all magic began and where all magic comes from" He said.
"You would have had to have been at the time where this stone was created to remember this place, you're only able to see it because I said an incantation to enter the magical barrier" Said Jiro.
KUro looked on with curious eyes, for once he wasn't being treated like a child or being treated older than he was.
"This is the perfect secret place you can come to train your magic!"
"Ahh about that," Said Kuro.
"What's the matter? you love showing off your new spells you've mastered" Said Jiro.
"Right, let me try some spells" Said Kuro as he knew he had to prove himself, and he was stubborn to ask for heklp or to admit that his skills didn't match up to Shiro's.
He started with a simple spell as they walked up to a rock that towered above them along aside of trees.
He thought of doing a smaller spell that he could do easily but opted for a more challenging spell.
It was a spell to pick up something and throw it levilessa he shouted but with so much power that the rock flew up in the air.
"I think you might have put a little too much into it that time, here let me show you a better way of doing it" He said.
"Levilessa" He said with a gentler voice, a voice that lends itself like song.
The rock floated in the air and he controlled it with his hand.
"See? now you just throw it like your throwing a ball"
"I think we should head back though," Said Jiro, "Lots more things to do before it gets dark"
We ventured into a clouded passage way and found our way back to the village.
"I want to know more magic" Said Kuro.
"Ah, there's no time for that now, maybe tomorrow" Said Jiro.
"I didn't know I had to remind you life isn't always about magic but there's always something magic about life" Said Jiro.
"Maybe one day you can pick up a quest card and start going on quests, be a real adventurer" Said Jiro.
A quest card? Kuro never heard such a thing, and for those around him to keep him in the dark about things made him furious.
"Oh yeah, right" Kuro said.
"Can you give this letter to Yumi?, it's important that you don't just leave after delivering the letter, okay, Shiro?"
Kuro was so unused to being called another name that it got on his nerves.
"Yeah" Said Shiro.
"Where does she live again?" Kuro asked.
"Down near the woods, in the mushroom house" Said Jiro.
"Yeah, got it, can't miss a place like that" Said Kuro.
Kuro left and went his way to the mushroom house down near the forest.
"I can't put my finger on it but something is different about Shiro today.."
"Oh well"
The road to the mushroom house was rather far from the village, but it was such a landmark that you really couldn't miss it.
That mushroom comes in handy when you get lost, it's something like the North Star.
He arrived before the door of the mushroom house and knocked twice.
A young girl Kuro's age answered the door.
"What is it this time, Shiro?"
"I have a letter for you" Said Kuro.
Kuro handed the letter but as she was going to take it away Kuro held it with a firm grip.
"Let me in" Said Kuro.
"Geez, what's gotten into you today" Said the girl.
"Come on in, then" She said.
She tossed aside the letter .
"Can you read it? I want to know what's inside of it too" Said KUro.
"Fine, if you insist", she grabbed the letter and tore it out of the envelope, "It's just a letter I don't see why it would be so importan—"
She had this terrified look that was incredible saddened for some reason.
"Shiro... my mother died" tears started to bawl on the corners of her eyes.
"I can't believe this, uwahh"
"Well, it's not like it's your fault, you can't control something like that from happening" Said Kuro.
"You don't understand at all!" She lashed out.
"That means I'm going to have to live with my grandma and I can't stand her, she's so weird"
"Well I don't know what to tell you" Said Kuro.
"My job's done so I'll be going now"
"Wait, I kinda like the new you, did you hit your head on a rock and it changed your personality?" She asked.
"Ah, something like that you could say" Said Kuro.
Kuro thought that he probably should try emulating Shiro's personality from the brief time he saw him.
Or else some people will most likely be suspicious and in suspicion could ruin what he pulled off.
