Shiro bumped into someone while he was walking down the halls.
"watch where you're goi—"
"Young lord, sorry I did not know that it was you" He said.
Shiro looked at him with wide eyes, he had blue hair that was in a spiky ponytail, and he just stayed in silence for a while.
"Do you not recognize your own personal guard?" He asked.
"It's Shinji, your personal guard" He said.
"Oh right, sorry I kinda forgot for a second, he said placing his hand at the back of his head"
"With everything on your mind lately it's not any of your fault that you forget sometimes" He said.
Shiro smiled back.
"You're in a good mood today, aren't you, young lord?", he began to laugh, "In fact I don't think I've ever seen you smile before"
"Oh" Said Shiro.
"You have your magi classes to go to now" He said.
"Magi classes?" Shiro mumbled.
Shinji kept walking and eventually lead Shiro to the door of the magi's study.
"Ah there you are, Kuro, it's lucky Shinji found you or you'd have missed another class of magic"
"And I know that the magic you've been learning has been difficult on you so we'll try some novice spells this time, some really simple stuff"
"I can handle what you taught me before, let me show you, just tell me what spell to cast and I will" Said Shiro.
He looked at SHiro, sighed and said, "Alright, stubborn as ever I see, very well, try the infanaris spell"
Shiro stepped back, closed his eyes and let out his hands in front of him, "Infanaris solaris" He said, not only did it make his crystal ball light up but it also changed colours.
"Where did you learn such an incantation?" THe magi looked so very surprised.
"I'm impressed, he said as he opened a book, skimming to a page until he found the solaris incantation, but to his unavailing he found nothing.
He went to pick out the most dusty looking book he could have found, with spiderwebs defacing the front.
"This is old magic, I had to look in a very old grimoire to find it, but hear it is the solaris incantation" He said.
"Who taught you this magic?" Shiro looked for the answers he needed, an explanation really.
"I heard it whispered in the wind" He said.
"Which was true, but only for Shiro, he heard magical incantations in the wind like a lullaby and he would always remember them.
They only appeared to him when he needs it the most.
"Hmm" Said the magi.
"A wind whisperer" He mumbled to himself.
"Well young lord, that is all I have for your lesson today" He said as he grabbed the grimoire, turned around then looked back at Shiro before he re shelved the ancient text.
Shinji was waiting just outside.
"So how'd it go?" He asked.
"Let me guess, he's telling you more useless charms again" Said Shinji.
"No, I just showed him some of the magic I'd been practicing" Said Shiro.
Shiro took off and started walking toward the courtyard.
"Wait up, young lord"
"YOu can call me Kuro, you don't need to have to call me young lord all the time, Shinji" Said Shiro.
"Okay" Said Shinji, "Understood"
IT was beautiful, with a bridge that had flowers on the sides, a fountain in the middle, it was like a glimpse of true decadence.
Shiro sat on a bench and Shinji took a seat beside him.
"DO you ever feel like there's more out in the world?" Said Shiro.
"What do you mean?" Asked Shinji.
"There's so many places out there, it's sad to never see them, or that those moments never last" He said.
Shiro wasn't noticing it but he had slipped back into his way of thinking, and not like Kuro.
But it looks like Shinji didn't mind this intellectual side.
"I was born into a noble family to serve your's, that's all I know and will ever know" He said.
"Doesn't that make you sad?" Shiro asked.
"I am supposed to say no, but it sorta does" Said Shinji.
"I guess it can't be helped" He said.
