After the last bell rang Sky insisted on driving me home. She wouldn't take no for an answer. So we grabbed our stuff from our lockers we started the twenty minute drive to my place. After making me wait in the car. Sky personally searched the house and perimeter from top to bottom. I just let her search. What ever made her happy. Besides it was Friday I didn't need to get up early tomorrow so I had the time.
Neither of us really knew what she was searching for but after the library incident with Annett, Sky’s claws were out. After Sky assured herself my house hadn't been compromised she kissed my cheek and jumped in her neon green bug. “Bye Sweetheart! See you Monday!” After making sure I was on my porch and out of the way she did an illegal U-turn out of my driveway at sixty miles an hour and was gone. I dug my key out of my bag and opened the door locking it behind me. On my way to the fridge for a much needed snack I noticed a note on the table.
It read, “Hope you had a good day at school sweetheart. I had to go on a last minute business trip And Kiely begged to go with me. And i'm sorry but I couldn't stop her from packing a couple of your shirts and jewelry. Well be back tomorrow afternoon around 6:00 pm. I attached a twenty to this note so you can order something to eat if you don't feel like cooking. I'll call you in the morning as a check in. Don't hesitate to call if you need anything. - Love mom and Kiely.”
By the time I was done reading everything that happened I decided a nap was a great idea. I was to exhausted to be considered healthy (Thank you school system). I practically crawled to my room fighting the urge to just sleep on the stairs. After changing into a thin tank top and shorts I fell into bed. Just as I was about to drift off to sleep an arm looped around my waist and Annett’s voice whispered in my ear, “If your that tired you can sleep darling. I'll be here when you wake up.” I going to freak out but even before her words stopped echoing in my ears I was asleep.
