After Annett paid ,(don’t shake your head like that she’s stalking me the least she can do is pay), we walked to a soft brown leather couch in the back. With small round tables positioned in front of the couch so you can sit across from the person your with. But after I sat down on the couch Annett completely sidestepped the table and sat down so close next to me she was basically sitting in my lap. Nope I reach my limit of fake date closeness. I quickly grabbed her ear and with Annett squealing and clutching my wrist I set her down in the chair across from me. I let go of her ear when I was satisfied but Annett let go of my wrist and grabbed my hand like a vise. “I paid and you pulled my ear the least you can do is let me hold your hand.” I sighed. “Fine.” Donatella came in with our order and after setting it down looked she looked straight at Annett. “Hi, Junes never come here with anyone. You are?” Annett smiled as I took a drink of coffee. “I'm June’s girlfriend and future wife.” I coughed on the coffee I was drinking and as soon as I took a deep breath I hurried to correct her. “No she's not! I just brought her here for a coffee.” Donatella look back at Annett as she countered my statement. “My sweeties in denial. She’ll come around.” I scowled at her. “No I won't.” Donatella caught up with the conversation and got a rough idea of what was happening. “Well i'll go back to the counter.” She smiled at Annett. “Good luck. She’s a fighter.” And leaving me wishing I could escape out the window she turned around and left. Annett turned back to me. “I wasn't kidding, you will be my wife.” I scowled at her. “Turn it down a few noches stalker. Just because I'm getting a coffee with you doesn't mean we're getting married. I just brought you to a public place so if you freak out and stab me there'll be witnesses.” She clenched her teeth. “Don't joke about that. Id never stab my girl.” I leaned back and stared her in the eyes. “But its not exactly a joke is it. Your stalking me. I don't know what you're capable of.” She clenched her fist. “I'd never hurt you.” I ignored the alarms and held her gaze. “I don't believe you.” I hit a nerve. I could see it in her eyes. Before I could move she was in my lap. Pinning my hands to the couch with her knees. Never breaking eye contact she gently forced my head up and her lips came forcefully down on mine. After she finally pulled away I was gasping for air and unable to form coherent thoughts. She brought her lips close to my ear she said it like it was one hundred percent fact stressing each word slowly. “I'd - never - hurt - you.” And in that moment I believed her.
