The day everything changed, I wasn't ready. Things have been going so well. I didn't want anything to change now. Today a new student moved to our school. As work went around no one knew her name. We didn't even know what she looked like. She never talked so we didn't know what she sounded like.
Since no one knew her name, everyone in school gave her the nickname No-Name. As ridiculous as that sound the name for her stuck. And when we say no one knew her name, the teachers didn't know either. Also, the principal didn't know, we asked and no answer.
One of the days something was different, we heard her voice. For the first time, we were in our art class when a fight broke out in the class. The longer it went, the fight started to get out of hand. The teacher was out of the room hoping we would behave while they were getting papers from the printer. Then out of nowhere No-Name started to speak.
“Stop fighting. You are fighting over the most ridiculous thing and disturbing the entire class.” Her voice was so calm as it came out from under the blue cat mask. When the class heard her talk it went extremely quiet as everyone listened to her. Since this was the first time hearing her talk. I was the first to speak.
“Out of all times to stop a fight, why now?” As the room fell silent again she spoke.
“I had a feeling the fight was going to get worse. Also, it was disturbing my work.” I looked at the spot she was sitting in. The desk had been moved a couple of feet over. One of the boys in the back of the class who is always quiet yelled:
“What's your name!?” All she did was a nod and ignore the question. The bell eventually rang and we left the class.
Since she didn't answer the question, I'm guessing she had something bad happen to her. When you Hide your face and don't tell anyone your name, it makes it seem like your trying to hide from someone. Maybe she's still damaged from her past. Even, when the boy asked what her name was she didn’t say.
After that situation No-Name started stopping the fights, she became one of the most respected girls in the school. Every day she would have to stop fights that were happening in class because she now felt like she had no choice but to stop it. It was now expected that she would stop it. I feel like now she's kept stopping them for attention. But she was never the one in the fight so why does it matter to her. It’s not like they will learn from their mistakes if she keeps stopping what's going to happen to them. But throughout the school year, she was always stopping fights left and right.
She even got hit once for trying to stop one of the fights. It broke the student's hand when he punched it. Not knowing it had a metal wiring in it, making it sturdy from the inside. The punch chipped apart a corner of the mask. The next day she had a new blue cat mask on. I'm guessing so another student wouldn't get hurt like that again.
No-Name would only talk to students when she was stopping fights. Since she didn't have any friends to talk to. And she would only stop fights when she thought they might go too far; besides, she would rarely talk in that situation. She might be a respected person, but she sure didn't act like one. If I were to guess, she was always that person in school who was smart but quiet. But I wouldn't know anything about her, I never talk to her. She going to lie to me, so I don't want to be her friend. I don't assume who people are though, by how they speak or act. But she definitely doesn't seem like she likes the attention she is getting. She might stop stopping fights if she keeps getting this kind of attention. And the fights have gone down drastically since she started to stop them, so that's good.
