Alan's pov
I turned on my phone to text Sawyer. My notifications showed messages from Bob. I clicked on them, guess he finished his thing for Monday. I think he really should have come to me to the school. I sent him a text saying hey and told him how I was busy with the Halloween Dance planning. Then I sent a text saying hi to Sawyer. My phone vibrated hinting that I got a text back from one or both of them.
Bob
Bob: Hey, so I'm guessing you had fun gawking at Stacie?
Me: Shut up I barely gawked I was actually working most of the time
Bob: Most.
Me: Anyway can I hear your thing for Monday?
Bob: Actually I'm not done with it yet.
Me: Then why did you text?
Bob: Because I can?
Me: Whatever. Wyd now?
Bob: Still working on my introduction.
Me: Sounds boring
Bob: Whatever, this will be good for me.
Me: Is that what you tell yourself when your forced or put into boring situations?
Bob: Is that what you say because you don't have the guts to do what you don't like to get to your goal to be happy?
Me: WELL DAMN BOB
Bob: It's Bob.
Me: Anyway, Bob. Are you going to the Halloween Dance?
Bob: I usually don't go to dances.
Me: Why not? I mean well I usually don't go but I am going this year since Stacie
wants me too. And I still went to some party at least that day. I'm guessing
you just stay home after school lol
Bob: So are you saying I should go to the dance?
Me: Pretty much. I think it's going to be great.
Bob: If you say so.
Me: It will beeeeee
I glanced at my notifications to see if I missed any messages. Mostly to see if Sawyer replied back which he didn't. I decided to text Stacie. Getting close to her as much as I could was the plan. But not too close that it creeps her out or runs her away.
Stace
Me: Hey! So today was good
Stace: Yeah it was!
I was surprised to get a reply back. Well, for her to reply back so fast. I guess she wasn't as busy. My phone vibrated and I saw Sawyer and Bob has text me back.
Me: What are you doing at the moment?
Stace: I am working on what was done today to organize things.
Me: Cool
Sawyer
Sawyer: Hello.
Me: Bob and You are so formal when texting
Bob
Bob: Okaaay.
Me: Anyway I don't know exactly how to get close to Stacie
Bob: Just be you?
Me: That's so clishé
Bob: Fuck you. It's true anyway! If someone doesn't like you for you then there is no point! Unless you're a scumbag!
Me: Woah Woah.WOAH! Let's rewind back to you cursing.
Stace
Stace: I guess so. I'm going to go buy more materials now and talk to the principal. Talk to you later!
Me: Uh yeah. Talk later.
Sawyer
Sawyer: Who?
Me: Oh just a guy I talk to
Sawyer: Oh?
Me: Also awkward
Sawyer: I talk like this normally, now time for us to work on this playlist.
Me: Okay okaaaay
Bob
Bob: Let's not. Anyway, don't as for advice if you won't take it.
Me: Fine fine I wiilllll
Bob: I don't know what other advice to give you at the moment. Besides just be yourself and talk to her. Get to know her. Normal things?
Me: What's that supposed to mean? -_-
Bob: She's human. If you want her to be yours you do normal things you would do to make a friend I guess? Then romantic things later or so to have more than a friendship.
Me: I guess you're right
Bob: Why do you like Stacie anyway?
Me: Well...
I start to think about why I liked Stacie. Of course, there were so many reasons why I liked her. Those thoughts lead up to the moment when I first met her. It's the event replayed all over again. I was reliving the past.
I was walking inside my school with my dad by my side. Walking with mom would be embarrassing. She would be crying and pinching my cheeks. Who knows what else. I grumbled to myself as I blushed in embarrassment just by the thought of it all.
"Stop looking at the ground boy." I heard a familiar voice say and got a smack on the back.
"Ow." I winced rubbing my back and glanced at the direction of the voice to see my dad.
Before I could come up with a comeback a girl walked past me. Her hair almost hit my face and it kind of ticked me off. I turned away from dad to the direction of the girl. Her back was towards me and she was walking with who seemed to be her mom.
"Hey!" I said and she turned around, her hazel eyes meeting mine making my heart stop as I stared.
"Um, yes?" she asked as her mom turned to look at me too.
"U-Uh um nice hair," I muttered glancing back at the floor then her repeatedly.
"Thank you," she said smiling before turning away and walked off with her mom before once again I got a slap on the back.
"Good job my boy but next time get her phone number." my dad said grinning down at me as I grumbled rubbing my back.
Later on, we would become partners for some art assignment. I would learn how smart, hard-working, and caring she was. We didn't really talk much though so this year I could change that. We could actually be friends and hopefully more. I glanced down at my phone to realize I didn't reply to Bob.
Bob: Well?
Bob: Hello?
Me: Sorry was thinking lol
Bob: Yeah, I kind of figured.
Me: Anyway I just like her. Of course, there are many reasons but not a main reason. You will understand when you like someone.
Bob: Woah, Alan sounds wise for once.
Me: Shut up
