Reimbow stood upon the brink, claws hesitantly trailing and sprawling as his molded mirrors ran about in all lanes open upon them. The grays contained within that heavy feather hollow of his were concocting a plan most good upon his own self. Before him spread a most long and blue, beyond a tan and mixed oily way of greens and purples fluidly swaying and mixing as such. Dimming the mirrors, he grasped upon a thought at last of good standing with his plans. Then turning, now declaring, Lofty Finger heard his words as they fled and landed harshly upon the inner workings of his own being, “We will take a new and most profitable way, especially as the Fat Child has perished so inconveniently for our own works to be done as fate had chanced the ways. We will continue on to Kinjarrow, yet now we take The Way of Dusk and Heart on to this perilous goal.”
The bone jaw cackled and raw slacked out, pulling upon the strings of the seductress of the gray, “Yes! Yes, onward we tread and whilst we shall be as new! Dusk and Heart is the most and ever much. We make onward then.”
Reimbow at this moment was now and ever after but too great to crawl again within the feather hollow of Lofty, so on he would trod as common. It was the rising of the right ear when upon they fell back upon their task, putting out of their troubled grays the doings and beings of past happenings.
Spread before them was a land of great little standing, it’s wide and open surface divided by the great churning as that of the blue and moist. It rose and fell ever on and open forward into the horizon until it met with a different land of tall and much greening. This green and dark was divided through the left handed way a sharp and twisting snake of gold devouring a swath so long and far that its head was not to be seen nor its tail. Further even than this was seen the purpled and blackened things rising high amid the upper domes of the land, great jutting things that looked as if a crown or rows of sharp consumings. Reimbow and Lofty Finger tread on through the high way, stumbling here and there until the crest fell and the sight of an avenue presented itself to them. Down upon the falling they slid with great speed, here and there dancing to avoid great rocks and short stubby green splotches of cast.
When the two found their feet under them once more and now upon the yellowed and tanned they sought their way forward among the tumbling and falling earth, many sudden pitches and movements in the cut way bringing them forward ever slowly. This land they walked within was known for little, a desolate place with no teamings or showings of much breathing things or doing things. It is said indeed, that all the land that comes as this was emptied a good many turnings past by one such as Reimbow, in fact it was as much to be sure that it was as it is.
Take heed and know, none walk the shuffle of a Bonejaw and not find they have a companion of great much speech, and as all was occurring upon the travel Lofty Finger was no exception of this fact. All as they went he spoke of the many mundane happenings of his pitiful and idiotic life, expressing pride and much to do about the rending of fires and tastings of Heart. The maggot by his side simply withstood all he said and turned to present his devourings and nod most sporadically and sharp, only gibbering on back when let the hint he should do so until a lull finally fell upon the opened wide of the Boneyman and Reimbow spoke;
“Tell me O’ Lofty Finger of the Rail Tile Road, what do you see upon your west and your east?” saying this puzzled the skin covered fiend a good moment, his grays grasping to describe the things around him. “Take time, we have much treadings before we reach the putrid and demanding greens.”
He finally replied with a small trumpeting, “Ho ho! I absorb the castings of your feathered and topped and can describe the things about us with good and easy tongue! Here upon my west there is a great heap that rises and stops with a good curve, it is colored as that of the tooth poorly taken and many grays.” his head slid upon its motions to turn over to his other side, “Oh! But on my right are much the same things, a great heap that rises and stops with a good curve, it’s surface dappled and covered by small and browning, yet also splotches of green and cuttings over and out. They weave away in new paths and roads.” Lofty Finger was proud of his sayings and looked to Reimbow for validation of his musings, instead seeing the same sardonic grin that colored his countenance as ever and before.
Jimnjag spoke after a moment and a half or passing two, “You do not lie and you do not speak as the gross and demanding black, simple and plain as you ever have spoken of things, yet let me tell you what the globes of a beautiful and perfect treading one I am has observed; On the west side are as you say, yet I see the mounds erected to cover the bodies of the glorious dead! Beneath each great rising and falling to the west is kept the worldly garb of many and few, great and glorious as I am they were near equals in my self led power and might. Each could dance upon any mountain with ease, grimbing their hollow surface and tasting pure and sweet the flavor of the fresh meat! Upon the east however lie smaller mounds housing the great heaps of cast and vile creatures who walked as you and I yet wore their skin proudly and eroded! They wither quickly yet in their short time these things worshipped not I nor any other as us, nay! Upon those timings they looked inward to find the outward and told as teaming and dense such lies that the whole of their sphere was blackened and dullen by their hyper frosting ways.” as his jaw moved flapping he gesticulated and caved, ever allowing his treading lows to progress him further onward, “See and heed the Lord! Understand me lesser and fettered one! You of bone hiding amid stolen flesh! Know I shall put an end to these vile and disturbed creatures!”
His jaw clicked on for moments after speaking he spoke not, the browning yet a wind on to endless paths of similar hues whereupon the duo lingered not but instead rolled and trembled up and around them with some ease. No speech nor thought passing crept up to throat as they made their own way in one hill that had opened fast and making a throughing way they traveled under the beams of the white and stained of one long passed ever lesser than once the greater, the breath of the world now once more passing between such great ivory scores. The land leveled out and before them the tall things with many greenings were well in sight, yet one last dire blocking became clear to them.
