"Where did they go?" Sam questioned Haruko with a look of confusion on his face.
"They have headed to the Special Training Center, where they will receive rigorous training!" Haruko exclaimed.
'What the heck?!'
The screen switched off and Haruko turned towards the boys. Right then, the hexagonal box was brought back into the room. Haruko folded his shirt sleeve and dug it into the box. He took out a piece of paper and unfolded it.
"The winners of this unlucky draw are Alon and Bayani, from the Philippines. You have one day to think about everything."
Sam began to scrutinize them from head to toe. Alon was the shorter of the two. He had beautiful hazel hair and dark, mystical eyes. His skin tone was fair. The other one, Bayani was about the same height and he had a significant embroidered eyepatch on his right eye. His face was fair and triangular shaped. For some reason, it was clear that there was a stark terror on their faces.
Alon and Bayani lived in the Quezon city in the capital of Manila. They both had been roommates for a long time in their schools as both's parents were in the village. The boys were the talk of the town because their looks were enough to kill everyone. Perfect faces and even perfect physiques made them live in the heart of every girl in their school.
Apart from that eventful day, they had a pretty normal life. The day that scarred Bayani for the rest of his life.
Aside from being roommates, they were best friends but the story of their friendship goes beyond an explanation.
It was a warm monsoon day and the sky was pelting. Thick grey clouds had covered the city and most of the people were walking around with umbrellas. Alon was walking on the street when some people stopped right in front of him. They were tall and strong. The one who seemed like the leader pushed him to the wall and blocked him with both his hands.
"Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror?" He began to slide his hand inside his hair.
"No... I don't need to." Alon replied, jerking off his hand.
"You need to be taught a lesson." He grabbed his hair and pulled his head back.
"Go...rot.. in hell!" He struggled to speak as one of the goons kept on pressing his Adam's apple.
"Yeah. I will make sure you live in hell."
Right after that, The goons picked him up and took him to the back alley. Alon tried his best to resist by punching and kicking them but it was all in vain. They took him in an alley and kicked all the dustbins aside. He was pushed and pinned onto a wall with painted graffiti. The paint stained his shirt and he became furious.
"It was my new shirt, you idiots!"
"You are losing all your clothes anyway." He proceeded to pull Alon's t-shirt and threw it on the floor.
The leader pounced on him and started to place lustful kisses on his neck. He proceeded down his back into his pants and began to touch him in indecent places. He moved his sultry hand down the well-developed torso and proceeded to lock lips with Alon. Alon was now feeling pathetic about himself and lost all his self-esteem. He mustered up his strength and kicked the leader hardly between the legs, causing him to collapse on the spot.
Alon ran away from that place and he reached the main street. There, he bumped into Bayani. Bayani saw his roommate's dire state and gave him his faux leather jacket. Alon covered himself with the jacket and sat down on the footpath. His eyes were watery. , tears began to flow.
"Alon, Is something wrong?" Bayani stared at Alon.
"Yes. Those idiotic bullies were about to molest me if I would have not escaped in time."
"Which bullies?"
"That idiot Aron and his friends."
As soon as Alon told him the name of the person, his blood started to boil. He ran back to the place and saw something disgusting, the leader had picked up the t-shirt off the ground and started to lick it. Bayani's face sported a frown in disgust and he caught everyone's attention.
"What do you want?" The leader questioned, pausing his actions.
"Why did you misbehave with Alon?" He questioned back.
"It is none of your business." He continued doing his absurd work.
"Well, what if it is?"
"Why would that be?"
Before Aaron could question any further, Bayani charged towards him and landed a punch on his face, making it red and sore. He kicked Aaron in the calf, which made him collapse on the ground. Aaron struggled to get up and picked up a shard of glass from the ground.
"I can stab him in the back." He mumbled.
He staggered his way to Bayani and stood behind him before doing his deed. Bayani sensed something wrong and turned around. At that exact moment, Aaron stabbed him and the glass shard pierced through Bayani's eye, blinding him.
