The Hidden King (on hold)

“Princess, it seems that the liars were the two men over there.” Han Lian Ai explained to Han Fai Fai. “Won’t you give them justice?”

Han Fai Fai looked over to the two men. In her heart, there was both anger and uneasiness. The two men made her restaurant look very terrible and her mother wouldn’t be happy about this. With just one glare from her, they trembled and fell to their knees.

Han Fai Fai pointed at them and lashed. “How dare you two lie to this Second Princess? Someone, give them twenty beatings!” Her personal guards came and seized the two men. The two men struggled.

“No, Princess, don’t!” They refused to go up from their position. Looking at their sorry figure, Han Fai Fai’s anger lessened. Those two had been working for her for so long, that made her almost forgive them. She gritted her teeth. “Drag them away, now!”

Just before the guards dragged them, Han Lian Ai remembered something.

“Wait!” She went to where Han Wu Xia and the deaf boy was. “Brother, ask him how many times he got beaten up by those two.”

She squatted down and told Han Qu Xia to whisper the boy’s answer to her. Han Wu Xia nodded and made a hand sign. [How many times did they beat you?]

[I, I don’t remember.]

After Han Wu Xia whispered what he said to her, Han Lian Ai smirked. “The boy said he received around forty beatings. Princess, don’t you think that it is only fair for them to get the same amount of beating as him?”

The two men’s eyes widened. They gasped and looked at Han Fai Fai. Hoping that the Princess would side with them like always and refuse the idea.

The Second Princess gulped. After seeing her subordinates get dragged away, she didn’t feel that angry anymore. But the people are looking, she had no choice so...

“That’s… That’s true. Guards, give them forty beatings!”

“Miss, no, Miss, please save us!” They screamed before they were dragged to the back.

Han Lian Ai smirked behind her veil. “Now, about the cashier man.”

She looked at the cashier man who was forced to come forward by Han Fai Fai’s guards. Unlike the two men that were dragged just now, he looked more confident. Even Han Lian Ai started to feel like he was innocent.

But, to her, it doesn’t matter who was actually in the wrong. She smirked.

-----

“...Just, what did you do?” Han Wu Xia frowned. The two of them were inside the boutique’s white building.

When they first arrived at the boutique Han Lian Ai was amazed by the colorful place. They had many decorations and clothes hanging on their walls. They decorated the whole place but unlike the surrounding inner gardens and white buildings that had colorful flowers, the inner garden was filled with only white flowers. The white building had white walls and even the floor inside the white building was white.

The white building was designed especially for very important customers. The building they were in was one storied and it had three rooms, the biggest room was the display room. It had a unique round shape with three doors. The biggest door was the one that connected the the display room with the inner garden filled with white flowers.

The lights coming from the specially designed lanterns hit the beautiful clothes around them.

“What? The slapping?” Han Lian Ai was looking at the clothes the boutique owner showed her before. She then told the boutique owner to leave so she could have time to choose. The boutique owner knew the two of them because Lady Tian often came here when she was still alive.

“No, the cashier man.” Han Wu Xia didn’t think that he was a nice guy at first. Especially when he rebuked. But after that cashier man saw the guards drag his friends away, he knew that the princess wouldn’t protect him like she usually do. So he thought that he should look as convincing as possible. However, Han Lian Ai kept pushing things up and cornered him until he said that he was wrong. However, Han Wu Xia had this weird feeling. “Why did you do that to an innocent man?”

“That cashier man, even if he didn’t do it, it is still his responsibility.” Han Lian Ai replied. “If he did his job right, he should’ve had the money. Whether he pocketed it after or not, it would only matter if he did his job right and got the money.”

Han Wu Xia’s eyes widened. “Wait! Are you saying that the boy might’ve been the one who lied?”

“Well… The cashier man might’ve missed it. But… anyway…” Suddenly, there was a vein popping on Han Lian Ai head. “Why the hell did you bring that boy along?” She lashed.

The deaf boy came along with them. But right before they entered the white building, Han Wu Xia told the servants to take the boy somewhere else to clean and dress up.

Han Wu Xia raised an eyebrow. “He is homeless and pitiful, of course I brought him along.”

There was fire in her eyes. “He might be a spy, Xia. He might be one of the people plotting on your mother! How could you bring a stranger along so easily?”

“I trust him.”

“Fine…” Han Lian Ai scoffed. She rolled her eyes. “How could you trust a stranger easily?”

“He is deaf, Lei.” Han Wu Xia argued. “How could a deaf person be a spy?”

Well...

Sorry for not updating this as often as my other story. I have some issues concerning the story. Ans also, I am prioritizing my first book because I am planning to finish Little Purple's second volume before July.

Please answer the questions below in the comment section or in my profile wall.

I want to know just how often you want this to be updated? And whether you would accept if this becomes a sponsored book.

You don’t need to feel pressured to update this story as often. I love all your work, including the Green Blaze book about Meng Ru! I look forward to seeing where all your characters end up in their unique journeys but I understand your focus is Little Purple. 💜 Just write as your heart leads and I will continue to save up my ink to help you reach your goals. I’m not exactly sure how the ink system works for you as an author but I’ll happily watch a few videos to support your creative abilities and beautiful stories.

The only daughter of the Emperor of Han and his Empress was named Han Lian Ai. She was pampered since young, but her amiable mother made her heart soft and pure. There was not a single trace of arrogance, pompousness, or overbearing in the heart of that beautiful, smart, famous lady, yet the higher up people of the capital sneered at her everywhere she went; such was the work of the concubines. Her mother’s pureness made her unable to go against the concubines’ schemes, and her father was too busy.

Han Lian Ai only had one sibling, who is the Crown Prince of Han.

One day, a fire burned the Empress’s palace, killing the Empress who painstakingly saved the lives of her two children. But Han Lian Ai did not survive, her soul had left her body.

Without knowing another soul would enter her body.

A soul of a man, who was known as one of best strategists in the continent.
