Dart

I woke in a strange house with a musty unloved, unlived in smell. I slunk away outside. A beautiful young tortoiseshell she-cat stood hissing at me. I was standing on her fence. I  mumbled an apology and I jumped back into my own yard. i watched her rub her head along her boundaries. 

The sun was setting and I heard my food rattle in the bowl.

Her tortoiseshell fur looks so pretty in the firefly light.
