“There's always a possibility.” Han Lian Ai shifted her eyes to the side, refusing to look at Han Wu Xia’s eyes.
“I don't understand you, Lei.” Han Wu Xia frowned. His eyes were showing impatient and a bit of anger. “He. Is. Deaf!” Han Wu Xia stood up and slammed the desk. “These three words are enough to justify him.”
“They do not!” She then gritted her teeth and looked back at him. ”How could you trust a stranger you just met when you were totally suspicious of your own sister just this morning?”
“You are not my sister! I’ve told you before, my sister would never lie!”
“Then how about that boy? He might’ve lied. Even you acknowledge that the cashier man might be innocent.”
“The cashier man might be innocent but that doesn’t mean that the deaf boy lied!”
Han Lian Ai clicked her tongue. She was about to argue back, but suddenly someone knocked on the door. “Dear customer, is everything alright?” The servants were worried because of the commotion inside.
Normally, the servants would need to call Han Lian Ai and her brother ‘Your Highness. But, right now, Han Lian Ai told them not to them that when there were still other customers in the garden.
“Yes, everything is alright.” Han Lian Ai answered. She then looked at the three clothes. She didn’t want to lose out to Han Fai Fai in the party so she gotta choose wisely.
“Why don’t we buy all three of them?”
“No/” Han Lian Ai replied shortly. “After your mother’s death, Concubine Fu was the one in charge of our income. If suddenly a huge amount of money was being used, she would get suspicious.”
“How complicated.” Han Wu Xia sat back on the white chair. He already finished shopping the clothes he wanted and waiting made him a bit bored. He looked at the three clothes in front of Han Lian Ai The clothes were arranged so Han Lian Ai would be able to look at every nook and corner of the details without touching them.
“Just wear this one.” He looked at the one in the middle. “This color almost matched our eyes.”
“You mean… The Kirin tribe’s eyes?” Han Lian Ai looked at the clothes. A very beautiful hanfu made of yellow silk thread.
Han Lian Ai see every nook and corner. Looking at it thoroughly. “What is this pattern that's embroidered on the clothes? I have never seen such a pattern before.”
“You don't know that pattern? The flower that made the pattern is our empire's symbol.” Han Wu Xia explained. “And here I thought that you are quite knowledgeable. You even know the name and the face of the Feng family's young master.”
“Feng Xinya, he is quiet idolized by the ladies I see.” She recalled the young man who she saw back then. “No matter, what tree is it?”
“That’s... “ Han Wu Xia looked directly into her eyes. “Honestly I want to ask about that.”
“What do you mean?” She raised an eyebrow.
“We will talk about that later, you better go and change now. We don’t have much time left.”
Han Lian Ai wondered about what he wanted to ask. She looked at the yellow hanfu once again and admired the solemn yet majestic color. This yellow, is like a demure gold, giving off a formal and dignified, yet quiet and momentous look.
The servants was called in to help her wear the hanfu and do her hair.
She was brought inside one of the two changing room behind the two smaller doors. AFter waiting for so long, Han Wu Xia, who was waiting for her on the guest room, got bored and decided that he wanted to check how the deaf boy was doing.
When they were done teaching those restaurant people a lesson, they hurriedly came here, so he hadn’t ask the boy’s name yet.
He was glad that the boutique owner’s wife could understand hand sign language. It was because, when she was little, her grandmother who lived together with her main family, lost her hearing and she needed to use the hand sign to communicate with her.
Ha Wu Xia walked through the big room. He was about to open the big white door, before it suddenly opened from the outside. Someone else opened the door.
Han Wu Xia looked up, wondering who it was... Instantly, his eyes widened.
