The street was filled with people, vehicles and lights of commercial displays reflected on countless faced of chaotic mass. Courier drones were rushing above everyone' heads filling the air with pulsating buzz, and everybody was hesitant to get somewhere important.
Jack never felt like being a part of it all. Too many voices, opinions, things he just couldn't relate to. But now, being surrounded with all this motion had brought him a sense of certain protection and almost comfort. He spent some time walking along the street trying to gather his thoughts, yet his mind was still clinging to the state of lazy slumber, Jack was so abruptly thrown out from.
"I'm dead?.. Missing post?.. I'm nobody. I haven't crossed anyone's road. Why would anyone be after me..."
He made his way back and forth between a fountain and a central mall few times before noticing that the crowd gradually turns thinner. A part of him desperately wanted to cling to this sense of security as long as possible, but it was clear for him that soon he'll be left all alone to spend the night on cold streets of the city without having a smallest idea as to what he has to do next. This image made him stop as he felt familiar weight laying upon his chest.
"Fuck it! I need to do something."
