thanks SO MUCH for reading ya little ducks!! this whole 'bit' is showing what this guy is like, very standoffish and kinda mean one minute... but kind of weirdly enthusiastic and sincere the next? this little dialogue about smoking actually happened (more or less lol) when i first properly met my ex partner, i caught him with a vape, and promptly made fun of him. he caught me off guard though, by missing the joke entirely and responding seriously with 'oh yeah, vaping is so cool!'. i admired his naivety and lack if sarcasm xD
