Chapter 2: From Demise to Acknowledgment

“There has to be another way, another way to eradicate this false world without the torment of seeing death all around me? Allen, you have been chosen to purge these illusionary perceptions, so do not fret, for these creatures, these humans shall be set free, because we are their savior.” Allen whispered to himself, as everything behind him turned into nothingness, into complete darkness. Allen continued walking down the busy street with his head leaned down, while the screams fill the air aloud.

“Day 9,125 of my existence here; trapped here, consumed by this cage of mine, this torment I am unable to escape.”

I open my eyes and look to the ceiling; that plain white ceiling that sickens me into the idea of madness, but why do I have this intolerance towards my own perception of reality? I step out of my bed, and the cold floor freezes my feet.

“FUCK!”

I suddenly become enraged by the cold floor, and start punching holes in the walls in my room, while throwing the pictures on top of the dresser around my room, yet in my rage I stub my toe on the dresser leg; my rage explodes, as I grab each drawer and sling them across my room. I grabbed the final drawer and lifted it to my face.

“FUCK YOU!”

I took the drawer and started beating the empty dresser with it. In my furious attacks against the dresser; I then slung the drawer out of my hand, and it busted through the window behind me. I looked at the broken window, while my rage goes to a new level of pissed. I leaned my head back and let out a demonic roar that shattered all the windows in my room.

I looked at my door then started sprinting towards it; I busted through it like it was made of paper. I land in the hallway, while the shattered door pieces land around me. I slowly rose to my feet, as my rage catches up to me; I began sprinting once more, while I scream out loud; running towards the front door. I also busted through the front door as if it were made of paper too. I lose my footing on the first step and tumble down the front steps; I hit the walk-way with my rage on maximum.

“FUCK YOU!”

I start grabbing the lush, green grass around me and ripping it out of the ground. I make my way to the sidewalk ripping up handfuls, while screaming at the top of my lungs. A couple came walking down my way; looking at me like I was crazy. I suddenly rushed and tackled the boyfriend to the rough pavement of the sideway in my drunken anger. I start relentlessly punching him in the face, while his girlfriend tries to pull me off her bloodied, beat to death boyfriend. I stand up and turn my full attention on her; I grab her by the throat then jump into the air lifting her body off the ground. I then choke slam her in the rough sideway making it crack, as blood fills the gory scene I lift behind.

I stood to my feet, while looking into the distance, and my rage suddenly fades from what I see. The city is disappearing; turning into darkness, and it is coming my way. A feeling a fear comes with it, and the thought that maybe this is the end of time, or maybe some crazy dream I am having.

“Fuck, this has to be a dream!”

I lean down to the dying couple that I had beat to death, and rubbed my finger in their combined pool of blood. The liquid was still warm, but quickly turning cold. I fell to my knees to realize this wasn’t a dream, and that void of darkness is coming; maybe even for me. I take off running down the street, because if this was my final time on this earth; I wanted to go out fighting. The silent screams became louder, as I approached the darkness engulfing the city, but I guess that is to be expected from the weaklings, the cowards that run from this once in a life-time opportunity to face death head on.

I make my way to the heart of the city; within the busy streets of running, crying cowards fleeing for their lives, but to what end will this give; can they really run from the end of time? I become enraged with their cowardice, and as I make my way to the void I start tacking the innocent people and breaking their necks, cause they do not deserve to live in my eyes. I killed about 15 people on my way when I see it; the ultimate challenge; the creator of the void.

This creature of complete darkness with a befriending, yellow, smiley face mask on was the cause of this beautiful chaos. I stop and just become intrigued by this creature. It sees me, and it seems puzzled that I am not fleeing for my life; maybe it knows that I do not fear it. It stops, and the darken nothingness ceases along with it. We share a silence that seems to make time stand still when suddenly my rage comes back full force when I realized that this thing had destroyed my favorite restaurant.

I started sprinting towards it in a fury that throws it off guard; I guess it got too use to people running from it, or maybe it is just a coward that relies too much on its god-like power. I ran up to it and tackled it to the ground and started to punch its mask over and over again; screaming at the top of my lungs. The creature’s eyes suddenly glowed bright red, and a heard a laugh coming from it, as if this is something that it wanted to happened; could it be that it was looking; waiting for a challenger to stand up against it. Darkness comes next and I sur-come to it completely, and as I witness the fading chaos, I hear a voice in my head.

“I will find you again when you are reborn.”

I open my eyes and look to the ceiling; that plain white ceiling that comforts my weary eyes to a new day, and the promise that today will be better than yesterday. I get out of my bed and the cold floor freezes my bare feet; I raise my feet off the floor then over to my slippers to put them on. I walk over to my dresser and get the cloths I am going to wear on this glorious day. I take my shower, brush my teeth, comb my blonde hair, and smile at my reflection in the mirror, as I put my clothes on. I stare into my bright; almost angelic blue eyes to fill my vanity for the long day ahead of me.

“A million reasons to be happy.”

I walk around my house to stretch my muscles, to limber up, as I make my way to the kitchen for my most important meal of the day. I make 2 over easy eggs with toast, and a glass half-filled of my pulp free orange juice. I enjoy my meal, and afterwards I wash the plates, so I do not have to do them later. I walk to the front door, and open to a beautiful sun filled day, and of course the clouds look as if hand painted in the sky.

“Another beautiful day.”

I walk down the walkway and onto the sidewalk to meet a very nice couple that greeted me with cheer, so naturally I waved back with a big smile. I walk down the sidewalk whistling a tone with a pep in my step when I suddenly hear a voice in my head.

“Look at what has happened to you; you, who stood against a god.”

I look around to see who is talking to me, but there is no one there; not a soul around me. Who, or what was that, I wondered to myself, as I continue to walk onwards. My whistle comes back; same as the pep in my step. I suddenly see a penny on the ground, so I leaned down to pick it up, and what do you know; it has my birth year on it; must be my lucky day. I smile big as I stand back upright, and that is when I see it in the distance; a figure of a man; like a darkened shadow with a yellow, smiley face mask on, and eerie, red glowing eyes that turns the light around it into darkness; like an aura of evil.

The figure would appear and disappear becoming closer each time it appeared; until it was face to face with me, and we shared a silence that could have been mistaken for an entire conversation, as if we had met one another before. The creature lifted its hand and slowly moved it to my face; I was in shock, I couldn’t move, couldn’t think, nor react; simply frozen by its gaze. The sky suddenly turned bright white as a beam of light came down and separated us from one another, and as the intense light faded the figure of a beautiful red-haired women appeared to me.

The completely naked woman walked up to me, and reached her hand out, as to signal me to come with her, so she can take me away from this creature. I looked up to her; her angelic skin that glimmers in the sun, and the swaying red hair that dancing around her beautiful face, but it was those seductive, bright green eyes at captured me into her magnificence, and I instantly fell in love with her, and placed my hand upon your open palm. That is when that voice came rushing back inside my mind.

“I guess you will have to learn the hard way about judging a book by its cover; you ignorant fool!”

The angelic master-piece suddenly gripped down on my hand so hard that it felt like she was gonna break the bones in my hand. She started lifting off the ground, taking me with her; I started fighting her, but she was far too powerful; I was nothing to her, I was like a rag doll compared to her, and I fell right into her bewitching trap. Higher she went until my feet were off the ground, and I look around to see the shadow creature staring back at me, as she lifted me higher. The creature lowered its head and started to walk away from him; to let me accept my own demise, for it was my choice to trust this befriending foe.

I suddenly saw that the shadow figure turned around and looked back at me, and its eyes burned an intense red, and seeing this triggered something deep inside me; my body began to feel numb, and soon went completely limp; the angelic master-piece suddenly looked down at me with a sudden fear in her beautiful, bright green eyes. Massive wings suddenly busted out of your perfect body leaving a gory mess on her back, and each flap of her wings threw her blood into my face. I then felt a feeling that is new, but somehow ancient to me, as if fighting for my life awakened something evil inside me.

I felt my body become heavy, as the terror in her eyes grew; the echoes of the creature’s laughter soon caught up to us, as if it knew what was happening to me. I then felt a sharp rush travel throughout my body, as the creature’s annoying laugh echoes inside my mind. I suddenly feel everything again in a sonic-boom of emotion, and suddenly a rage over-comes me, and I grip down on the angelic master-piece’s hand so hard I hear the bones in her hand break.

She lets out a blood curled scream, as I pull myself up and grab ahold of one of her massive wings, and rip it out of her back. The creature below started clapping, and when I look down to it all my memories suddenly come back in a rage.

The angel is now fighting me off, as I grab her other wing and rip it out of her back; we plummet down back into the street, and as soon I land on top of her I begin to relentlessly punch her face into the ground. The street cracks and breaks apart from my powerful blows, and as my rage begins to fade I realize I have de-faced the angelic-master piece; nothing but a bloody stain on the street with a body attached.

“I remember everything now, I remember you and the void that was consuming the city, but now....”

The creature lifted his hand to me, and I felt trust towards it, so I stood still and allowed it to place its dark hand on my cheek. A rush of ecstasy flows through my body as I fall to my knees and moan so loud that it forces my eyes shut. The feeling became less intense, which allowed me to open my eyes once again; my body was beginning to turn into darkness starting at my feet, and working its way up. I sprung to my feet and grabbed the shadow creature by the throat and lifted it into the air.

“What the fuck have you done to me?”

The creature stayed silent, as I realized that it was not scared of me; hell, I wasn’t even hurting it with my tight grip around its neck. My gripped hand suddenly went through its neck, as if it turned into smoke. The creature hovered in the air then suddenly punched me in the chest so hard that it sent me falling back. I felt weightless as I flew backwards from its god-like punch, but soon gravity caught up and I crashed into the ground so hard it created a crater from my landing. I stood to my feet again, but felt no pain from its powerful attack; I look down to see that the darkness has consumed me to my chest. I start to accept that this is happening to me, and that there is nothing I can do to stop it. The creature then appeared before me, and spoke.

“This perception of the world is corrupted, flawed, and soon; you, who stood against a god shall see, shall feel, shall become a god, for everything that you have believed was true will begin to fade, to fall apart, as I purify these well placed, deceiving, delusionary lies that forced all you to believe that this was reality. Come, and let me show you a piece of the truth.”

We both disappeared then reappeared on the edge of a cliff that over looked the beautiful, busy city. The creature waved its hand across the view of the city below, and the beauty faded away, as I saw a ruined city that the void from before left behind. I then looked closer to see that the buildings were repairing themselves at an accelerated rate. I dropped to my knees, cause I could not comprehend what I was seeing before me.

“The time has come for you to embrace the life of a god. Vance Blair, you have left your illusionary life behind, for now you are absolute destruction; you are the silent death in the night, you are chaos refined and untapped devastation embodied.”

The darkness completely engulfs me in its magnificence; the creature slowly lowered it hand, and the darkness faded inside my body. I look human again, but I do not feel human; I look at my hands, and the rest of my body. I suddenly look up to see that the creature has disappeared, so I slowly pace myself back to my house with my head leaned down; trying to comprehend what all just happened to me.

I finally make my way back to my house, open the door, walk up stairs, and finally lie in my bed. I toss and turn, but can not get comfortable at all. I lean up and walk down stairs to get a glass of water to help me sleep, but as I enter my kitchen I saw a figure sitting at my table tapping its fingers on the surface.

“Hello, Mr. Blair, it’s time we had a little talk about your new friend Allen Morre.”
