CHAPTER 2:
The story begins way back. When a certain young lad was 9 years old and the other-16.
A few males were bullying the small and innocent child- Alex.
Alex, at such a young age, never knew why he was treated that way. What has he done so wrong to those people to make them hurt him physically and mentally. Years later, he was still bullied by the same kids, and laughed at by the same crowed. The bullying became worse by the years.
One day, in the 4th grade, when he finally thought that he is never going to return home- A young man showed up and beat those little teens to the asphalt. Warning those little kids to never approach Alex again, they ran away.
The young good looking man, helped Alex onto his feet before brushing all the dust and dirt away. He checked his wounds carefully before cursing those teens under his breath.
"You might have a concoction. I better send you to the hospital. Who knows what else could be wrong." He quickly picked up Alex onto his back before rushing to the hospital.
The nurses took care of everything, including calling his father, Richard.
When Richard received the sudden call in the middle of his discussion, he couldn't help but worry even though the wounds aren't fatal. He paused the meeting with the CEO's of many different companies then rushed to the nearest hospital where his son is taken care of.
Richard flew through the doors of the hospital, gasping before catching the closest nurse and letting her guide him through the halls of the hospital.
When they both reached the room, the nurse left- leaving Richard standing alone outside of his son's room.
The door suddenly opened, letting both of the men stare into each other's eyes.
"You must be my son's savior." Richard concluded.
"Yes. And you must be his father? "He nodded.
"Please, come on in. It is your son we are talking about."
When both of the men sat on the sofa, the mysterious man had a lot to say to the father. Richard noticed.
"Seems like you have a lot to say to me."
"Actually I do. I may overstep my line but I can't keep this in after hearing these words from your son.." Richard raised his eyebrow then nodded.
"-Look. I heard from him that you don't give a crap about him- especially after your wife died. I understand that it has taken a toll on you AND your son but it doesn't justify your behavior at all. You ignore his basic needs, and the need for attention. He has been suffering from abuse by his classmates for years and you haven't noticed at all. You rarely speak to him, you rarely do anything for him and with him. I don't know how difficult it is to be a single father but it doesn't give you the right to completely ignore your child's existence." The young man breathed deeply.
"I see."
"That's all you have to say for yourself?" The young man angrily replies.
"I don't have to justify my actions to you, young man. Yes, you have helped my son but you have done no less and no more. You are not my lawyer nor will you ever be."
"Yes, you are right but I can't leave him like this! You are going to fix your attitude or I am going to keep bothering the kid. Every. Single. Day."
Richard couldn't help but laugh.
"Go ahead. My son needs a trustworthy friend like you." The young man's eyes grew as wide as an owl's
"W-what.."
"As you know, I am not just a nobody. I have more foes than friends. And of course I had to do a background check on you as well. I believed that you saved my son with a motive, I was wrong."
"Y-you did what? A background check?"
"Yes. Of course. Did you think that I'll let some stranger breath the same air as my son's? But of course, after meeting you here- You may do as you please. You may stay away from him, get close to him or whatever. And just so you know, I do love my son. More then anything in the world.-" Richard stared into the young man's eyes, narrowing them before grabbing his shoulder with the strong hold of his hand. "-I can't tolerate what happened to him, I knew- yes. But he is MY son and he is a man! He can't be a weakling his entire life. He is gonna have to bite back some day."
"So you thought that letting the abuse continue is a good chance for him to grow when he didn't even have you as the parental support? Are you fucking crazy? You are his god damn parent! You are suppose to be there for your kids! Not like mine.. My parents let me grow up alone. But you care for your son way too much for you just throw him on the streets, right? You wanted to get married, You wanted a child and here you go- You got them both. So do your part right." Richard stared in shock at the young man, no one has ever spoken to him that way but he was glad to hear those words. Especially from such a perspective as his.
"Very well, I understand. In return of helping me, I'll help you as well. Expect the reward at your graduation. You may do as you please about Alex, on one condition- Never tell him about this conversation. Deal?"
"Deal." The young man agrees without a second of hesitation.
"Now then, now that it's settled- I have to go. People are waiting for me to return. Also, don't tell him I came by. My acting will be quickly discovered. He is no idiot, after all." Richard chuckled before walking up to the bed where his son lies, he gently brushes his boy's hair off his face before kissing his forehead then he left hospital like he was never there to begin with- with a big smile- having great plans for that young man.
Now that his meeting is over, he couldn't help but feel relieved. That feeling sprung for the first time in years.
* * * * *
"Hello! Earth to Gin! What are you thinking about? I have been calling your name of the past five minutes."
"Oh. Em.. The beginning of my life, I guess." Gin chuckles as he looks deeply into my eyes. An unfamiliar emotion swirls in his eyes, an emotion that I can't read. "-You have grown a lot."
"What are you-"
"We are here. Come on, I'll help you settle in." Gin clearly and smoothly avoided the subject. Should I mention it again or just leave it be?
