(Told from Jenie’s view)
I was exhausted. After a full day of college classes and only one coffee. All I wanted to do was sleep. After taking the bus to my apartment I threw my bag on the floor and threw my coat over it. I didn't bother with anything else. I was too tired to care. I checked the clock on my way up stairs. I had four hours before I had to be at work. I should use the time to study but sleep sounds better. I could do my anatomy paper after work. I walked into my bedroom and threw my shirt off as I closed the door. Pajamas are calling my name. As I unbuttoned my jeans I slid open my closet door. I almost had a heart attack. Curled up in my closet was an Avilie. I thought those were extinct! Well apparently someone messed up somewhere because the avilie that was in my closet woke up, smelled the air and growled at me. Shit! What do I do!? I just stared at it. It looked female with snow white skin and night black hair. Complete with black and red cat eyes staring at me like food. Topped off with razor sharp fangs framed with light pink lips.
It tilted its head and looked at me. I still wasn't wearing a shirt and was wearing a lace bra. At that moment my modesty decided to kick in. I grabbed my shirt off of the floor and tried to throw it on as quickly as possible. “Hey! A warning would have been nice!” I almost kicked myself. This thing is extremely dangerous and that's the best I could come up with. It looked at me for a minute. I finally got my shirt on and my jeans buttoned. It sniffed the air again. “Mate.” it snarled in possessive tone. “What?” mate? I slipped on a random discarded piece of clothes and fell flat on my back. “Ow.” The thing crawled out of my closet and climbed on top of me and pinned my arms to the floor. “Hey!” She straddled me and snarled, “Mate.” I lost it. “Ya! You keep saying that! But what the hell does it mean!” I think I upset her. She bared her teeth. This is it. I'm going to die here on the floor of my bedroom surrounded by my dirty clothes. She didn't aim for my neck like I thought she would. She bit my shoulder. Hard. “Ow!” “You're my mate. You're mine now.” She snarled before I passed out. Really that's going to be the last thing I hear!
(This is drawn a little from the omega genre. The mark or bite symbolizes possession over the person they bite to other Avilies. So they know not to touch another's mate. Only other Avilies can sense the connection. While humans only see a scar.")
