Lightning thundered as the rain poured down a cloaked figure ran through the storm, shouts echoed from behind. He collapsed behind a tree listening to the guards shouts getting farther and farther away from him, his eyes of silver hue shined in the moonlight. The figure listened until the shouts and barks from their dogs were no more until he sighed and got out from his hiding spot. He started to go farther from where he ran from, the storm starting to pass as thunder rumbling in the distance.

-4 ½ days later-

Nik ran the moonlight shimmered above him the woods surrounding him on all sides.

“Shoot I’m lost,” he muttered to himself. Sudden howls were heard in the distance.

“Wolves,” He said grimly. “The village was supposed to be here,” Nik muttered moving quickly through the forest the howls getting louder and closer until one attacked. The wolf jumped on Nik biting at his arm clawing his side. Nik shouted out in pain but tried to focus on the beast it’s murderous intent shone through Nik’s eyes. Nik pushed the Wolf off him focusing on its emotion of killing him. The wolf growled then charged at Nik. Nik grabbed the dagger from his side and pointed it at the wolf as it charged him, Nik jumped backward and stabbed forwards where the wolf was attacking piercing it. Nik stumbled and shuffled away from the Wolf it walking away muttering something that Nik could barely comprehend.

“Humans you horrible beasts always hunt us you’ll live but next time you won’t be so lucky.” before the wolf ran into the brush Nik’s Dagger lay on the ground which he picked up and sheathed. Nik stumbled away until he reached the end of a hill. The hill lead downwards and the sound of laughter and music came from the bottom of the hill.

“I made it. ” Nik started a rush of euphoria spread throughout him but the feeling was interrupted by the noise of growling behind him, he turned around and 5 wolves stood there. Three wolves growled keeping him occupied as two rushed behind him cutting him off.

“No no, I was so close,” Nik muttered. The center one of the forward three slowly walked forward the other four slowly closing in as well. [ i can’t die today not when I’m so close to escaping.] Nik thought then the wolves charged at him teeth bared.

“no No NO NO! NOOO!” Nik shouted, His silver eyes glowed brightly as the wolves pounced.

From the village all went quiet as at the top of the hill all that could be seen was a silver light engulfing the hill, the light slowly swirled into the sky like a serpent before dissipating. The calm of night returned and in the distance, a beast stirred.
